Well other orange sodas don't say caffeine free, but dont have it.

They probably say it in small font somewhere. Sprite doesn't have caffeine but it isn't blatantly obvious like the Caffeine Free sodas.

Its like Root Beer. Barqs has caffeine. The others don't. Barqs even does mention it. Which would fall under the gimmick thing you mentioned. Because it "has bite."

I think when most varieties of a drink doesn't have it, it's probably not mentioned. Like no one is going to see Orange Soda and think "caffeine" but say you see a Cola, a drink known for caffeine, those will say it is caffeine free if it has known.

You just think a drink that normally doesn't have it, would mention having it.

I think in general the caffeine free ones like to advertise it bc people think it's healthier but I'd argue caffeine is a healthier drug than sugar

I also found out Crush and Sunkist are both owned by Dr Pepper. Not originally but they do own them both currently.

I knew Fanta is Coke. Always thought Crush was Pepsi for some reason lol.

exactly. Coke, Pepsi, and Keurig/Dr. Pepper

I recently heard from a semi reputable source that Dr. pepper only hasn't been bought out bc their share of the market keeps the other two from being accused of a monopoly

Sunkist I knew Dr Pepper, as is always on sale with Dr Pepper and 7Up

on an international scale Dr. Pepper is strange because it actually works with both Coke and Pepsi

I laugh that at least here(as Pepsi does some places) Coke distributes Dr Pepper, despite having a drink very similar themselves called Pibb. but its so rare to find.
