One thing that makes me less hopeful of society's ability to curb the impacts of AI is the fact that bots have been a thing for a solid decade at least and basically no one's keeping that shit in check and seemingly no one on social media is able to recognize a bot and avoid engaging with them

Who knows though, we'll see. People are at least more conscious of AI's existence and the way it's permeating into things. Gonna ruin plenty of people but hopefully society at large can figure shit out.

I think the chat bot obsession will just end out of boredom though, some other new shit that's worse will probably come around. I don't think talking to the AI instead of just giving instructions stays this much of a thing even as much as humans crave the conversation

I think anger and emotions just overtake intelligence and pushes it down the level of importance when people make their decisions and that's the problem we're in
