I think it's mostly because ppl want to like WWE and not be confronted with this. They had genuine hopes Paul would be different. Which he is in some ways. But he's still was groomed in the system , in that family. They likely hope it be different because most ppl don't agree with trump etc n they were genuinely hopeful the company would be cleaner along with the renewed creative
