Yeah first time I saw it I was quite taken aback

I've only noticed popups for ads or QR codes during Amazon if I pause but I rarely watch that

I have seen it on the commercials like “press up on the remote to add this to cart” or something like that but not during the show or movie

I even get that on YouTube now if the channels have big name sponsers

Peacock also does this annoying shit when you watch an NBA game where it'll initially open the screen in this display where there's like a big ad basically to sign up for whatever kinda NBA companion app shit thing they offer

Which isn't that fucked up but it'll just stay like that until you close it

i don't use prime, i just meant in general.

For me it's just always been on pause screens but that's on like every app now, Peacock, Hulu, Amazon all try and sell you stuff if you pause during the show, and YouTube has QR codes I manually have to x it after videos starts now of the sponsors are big enough

right now i only have disney and hulu and don't really use either.

I have ads on Disney but I don't remember them being that intrusive compared to others, same with HBO

I do the $32 a month for HBO, Hulu, Disney commercial free

thats basically all you need.
