I'd throw my two cents in there and agree with Chris on the absurdity of the hypocritical usage of reasonings for bigotry or hatred. Like for me, I have always been a fairly religious fellow. Was raised catholic and I choose to believe in Christ as I think he (or at least the idea of him) is a perfect moral compass to follow for humanity. With that being said, the first thing I find so baffling is people using religion to support their own bigotted beliefs. Sure you could find out of context material from the bible that will support genuinely anything, but like the literal founding principle of anything Jesus related is "Love thy Neighbor". And I have always seen that as all colors, sexualities, genders, immigration fucking status.
