One of my science teachers in high school tried to show is this evidence of something that proved Noah's ark happened by carbon dating even tho prior that hear she dismissed carbon dating itself as a hoax anyway

She was a flat earther

I think a lot of the Bible is based in history, most of those real old people just didn't really exist lol there was some big flooding around the time tho, I can give them that

I don't think any of the old testament people can confidently be said actually lived but pretty much all the new testament probably did, just what happened isn't always true

Was one of those fishing stories were they exaggerated. “I saw this boat and it had like one of every animal on it!” When it actually had one sheep

But the events of the old testament were probably at least based on something that either actually happened to them or they just stole the story from another culture and replaced places with theirs

Noah story seems pretty likely to just be completely made up tho, like there was probably this crazy flood that caused everyone to be traumatized for generations and they just couldn't imagine anything besides it so they invented these hero stories
