My biggest pet peeve with American Animation is the refusal to age the characters, I think I've gone on this tangent before in here. But one of my major draws to anime is how they actually develop and age characters vs. the static character

You can't think of a single american cartoon that legit aged their characters and had a cohesively moving timeline (sure someone will)

Cartoons are supposed to be a time capsule where the constraints of aging don’t exist.
