I might be getting my wish not only is Swerve gonna be at Atlanta Motor Speedway this Saturday, but a few other AEW stars as well for the first TNT race. The animated video has The Outrunners, Tony Schiavone, and I think Harley Cameron with Swerve driving.

I've slagged off AEW but i think they are on a roll at the moment and tbh even the Death Riders stuff is better now it has a focus (although why is Yuta getting beaten up by everyone)

I used to listen to a lot of the Cornette stuff when I was bored at work but I've been avoiding that for a while and I'm enjoying the wrestling more - doesn't have someone picking holes in everything

Hot take, business has been booming the entire death riders run and fans actually got positively worked into getting frustrated, but kept watching to see what's next. The midcard and women's scene has obviously been a huge factor. But ppl are going to give Mox his flowers eventually, the history books will be very kind to him.

I see huge similarities between Mox DR run and Romans Bloodline. obviously not the length but the means they win the fan frustration etc. I find they are both highly effective in getting the main character over IE Cody and Hanger

As someone not a fan of the death riders overall, people forget how much of the Bloodline was very dull. When it was great, it worked but there was a year of it which was him feuding with Brock which was ASS. That was the Cope period, after that the death riders angle has improved but I am ready for it to be over

The difference is the luls for Roman was long and the run was like 3 years

Aew online fans got frustrated over a Cope single ppv cycle that lasted a month..

I stand by my convictions that y'all were just impatient. Cope earned his run and it was a necessary story piece for FTR to turn heel. So you can thank Mox for that awesome turn too

I am in the middle on that, I think Darby was the OG plan but they made a pivot a while ago, probs finding out Darby wasn't back soon and around the Cope story.

Also you could have just done Cope and FTR vs Death Riders on PPV with Mox feuding with someone else to get the same heel turn

I'll say I don't think the Darby thing was ever set in stone ever, just dirts and fans ran with it and treated it like it was a done deal. Fightful has come out and said that was never the case
