WWE wanted to bring back that heavy latino element they once had on SD. Maybe that's why Batista vs. Rey is a long lame rivalry that reminds me of Rey vs. Chavo.
Another classic example of being thrown out there for a month and if you don't get over, you're out. But seeing as though his odd program with Vicki did absolutely nothing for him, you should have known his time was coming.
It's because the crowds refuse to get behind anyone who is new. Unless you're doing high flying moves like Kofi and Bourne or have an incredible gimmick from the get go, you're not going to get a reaction. While it is sort of your responsibility to play to your gimmick and strengths, WWE didn't make either of them clear.
