A sad-face is copmletely unwarrented. Danielson on ECW is best for him. If Punk had gone to Raw or Smackdown, he likely would have bee lost in the shuffle. ECW is the best option for Danielson to be able to best demonstrate his ability against other high-level workers. In fact, I bet that, should this be true, William Regal is drooling at the thought. Not only is Regal likely eager to work with Danielson, but he's also probably eager to put Danielson over, on account of Danielson being one of Regals' wrestling students.

4. Showcase his talent
5. A good spot weekly
6. A fanbase
7. Good opponents

is a bad place to send a new superstar? You might know who Danielson is and what he's capable of, but 80% of WWE's market doesn't. Not everyone is a smark who goes out and buys the latest ROH and PWG DVD's.

I don't get the backlash in this thread, did anybody actually believe Danielson will go straight to Raw or Smackdown. Nigel had that great debut because it's a completely different company than WWE. Every TNA knew who Nigel was and there was no reason to build him up the old fashioned way. Danielson is heading into a completely new audience, I have no doubt he'll have nothing but success on ECW.

Danielson on ECW is going to be awesome, I never expected any of the ROH alum to automatically be pushed on the main show ECW is a glorified developmental territory where alot of younger guys go to build up their fanbases and showcase what they can do for the WWE. I am looking forward to a Danielson/Regal feud moreso then Benjamin tbh.
