The UFC has postponed its next three events, the last of which was scheduled to take place April 11, due to the ever-growing impact of the coronavirus.

ESPN just broke news that the Opening Day of the 2020 MLB season has been delayed until mid-May.

Damn our Draft won't be till May or towards the end of April I guess then. One thing that has happened because of this disease, with Sports like the NBA, MLB or NHL closing up shop, this gives the players to really rest up their bodies and recharge those batteries. God knows they need it.

Probably. Cards certainly have freedom since they go months between fights, anyway.

Most UFC events are held in Vegas and Vegas pretty much is on a mass shutdown. So postponing is an option cause they aren't gonna make any money holding it in a performance center. If anything they would lose money plus who knows, not too knowledgeable on UFC and it contracts but they may be contracted to hold the events where they are between Vegas, promotors and the PPV's I'd be willing to bet on so relocating may have not been a real option despite Dana saying he was looking into it.

You're missing the point.

Those UFC storylines were (somewhat) organic; they can be extended indefinitely.

Wrestling storylines (particularly for big promotions like WWE) are scripted to be developed on a weekly basis, and have been planned as such.

UFC and every combat sport storylines are manipulated and manufactured.....why else is there always a pull apart for every weigh in or press conference.

For fuck sakes fighters break kayfabe and talk about hyping the fight during their victory speech after a fight.

I'm not gonna lie. A lack of sports has been really depressing. It's gonna be hard to go through the gauntlet of having no sports for the time being. If this virus ever goes away and I see a whiff of sports, I would be very happy. But sadly it's gonna take months, maybe a year and I can't deal with that.
