And you'll notice I put things that I actually watched live. I've marked out for spots that happened on DVDs or youtube videos I've watched but to me it's not really the same.

That's what I mean. Mark out=completely freak out imo. I have been shocked and truly excited about Y2J's return back in 2007, with Edge taking Kofi out and entering the EC, many matches have me waiting for them for weeks, but to really, really mark out, as of watching in disbelief to the TV, not many moments.

I'll tell you one thing, we definitely share that same #1. I will never forget that night. That was long before the days of smarkism, where all I knew was how awesome Jericho was.

Another Mark out moment for me is when Orton beat Benoit for his 1st World Title for me, I don't know about any of you but around that time was when I was first getting into Orton's character and watching him beat Chris Benoit (one of my all time favorites) cleanly to win the WHC was simply amazing, looking past the fact that his reign as a whole was easily forgetable.

^^^Fucking killer match... SO under appreciated.

I only consider marking out the times when I am literally screaming while watching the TV, and those are the moments on top of my head in which I have been in that state.

The rest of moments have shocked me, many greatly, but not to get me in the state of screaming my lungs out.

Sounds like you expect a little too much dude.

To me marking out simply means that they successfully tap into your emotions. Makes you sad, happy, ecstatic, angry or whatever (and not, for example, being angry at the bookers for not putting my fave over in a match.. That right there be SMARKING OUT if anything***).

(***Not aimed at anyone in particular.)

I know one reason I think it was was because his reign was easily forgettable after being squashed by HHH three weeks later. A much better way to go about it imo was to have Benoit wait till Unforgiven 2004 for his rematch rather then the next night, but that would have made the Orton being kicked out of Evolution seem less relavant, but a HHH/Benoit/Orton triple threat would have been awesome.

Another moment for me honestly, even though it wasn't a major mark out but a minor one being that I already knew it was bound to happen was when Bret Hart actually showed up on Raw as a guest host. I mean sure other then the inital promo it was largely forgetable but growing up I was always a Bret Hart fan. Seeing the awkward embrace between him and HBK couldn't take away from the fact that I honestly believe that Bret truely was extremely happy to be there.

Haven't marked out in awhile to be honest but the one's I remember?

The Rock and HHH at Backlash, the double Rock Bottom on the announcer table. I freaked!!

The Rock and Austin, I can't remember which PPV it was I'ma say WM but when The Rock grabbed the camera, it was the funniest thing I've ever seen. When he panned out into the crowd and you hear King screaming, then he turned back met with the double birds. Stunner on the announce table. Marked out to the max that night!

Undertaker debuts as Bad Ass. It was the Ironman with The Rock and HHH, DX interfered and there was like 5 minutes left in the match. The crowd was packed that night, we here unknown music and a motorcycle reving up. In comes Undertaker in shades and a bandana. Maxing out so much I thought I needed a maxi-pad!1!!

Sting beats the NWO. Norton, Vincent, Macho Man, Bagwell, Konnan, Curt Hennig the names of those that got beat down. He didn't come from the raptors just came down the walkway. The words out of Tony Schiavone's mouth "He dropped the bat!" and it was on. I freaking out! Man after man was gettin dropped, Sting had a vendetta on Savage cause he was getting it the most lol.

Sting joins the Wolfpac. It wasn't him joing the Wolfpac but him, slamming the Giant. Yeah Cena and Lesnar have done it but Sting did it with ease.

Damn bro, those Sting ones were epic I marked out like hell for both of those, but idk if you could call it "marking out" since I was like 8 at the time lol

Yeah, Sting was my favorite back in those days. I just remember him coming down and taking out the nWo with the bat; revealing the Wolf Pack shirt, all epic stuff.

...man, Sting was so fuckin bad ass back then. I don't care if it wouldn't make that much sense. I would absolutely love for Sting to have one more run as the true crow Sting. I can't stand to see him wearing the face paint then out there talking like a fucking goofball.

1997-1999 Sting was imo his best time period from a character standpoint. His Crow character was so fucking kick ass nobody in those days could come close to his kick-assness. I would totally mark out again if he came back like that, not the stupid "icon" character he is using now. He has never been overwhelmingly good on the mic imo

Sting was damn near perfection. The amount of times he's dropped from the raftors (is it raptors?) with out any problems is pretty damn good. Only fail he had was ripping the t-shirt when he joined the Wolfpac. And that red/black facepaint.

I'm a big fan of beat downs. 1 vs. 10 situations.

When Austin saved Kane and Undertaker during the Invasion days. We saw him make his journey from the parking lot all the way to the ring. Everyone waiting as the WWF was getting taken out and then "glass shatters* everyone goes crazy in that ring. Guys are getting stunned left and right, double chokeslam at the end. It was madness!

When was the last time there was a good beat down in the WWE?

I think the last good WWE beatdown was during the original ECW ONS angle when Sabu,Sandman and a few others attacked Cena on Raw

^That was good but I think what he meant was a good nWo-esque beatdown like a multi-man ambush.

I enjoyed the beatdown Chris Jericho and Legacy gave Cena that ended with the Liontamer being applied on the floor.
