So I got my PS3 last week and am back on PSN playing SvR and getting back to where I was on my other games..

Anyway, I have been out of the gaming loop for the better part of a year and I wanna catch up. What's happened since January? Any Metal Gear announcements? What about Kingdom Hearts? (Just got 358/2 ) Is the PS3 catching up in sales and have they released those damn PSN cards!? Online features I missed for the PS3/PSP/DS and whatnot, Any cool games I should get for the holidays, yada yada yada...

Sony is on the verge of defeating Microsoft in Europe and the PS3 is now behind 6 million to the xbox 360. It's only a matter of time before the PS3 catches up in total sales. PSN cards can be found pretty much anywhere. Gamestop, 7 Eleven, Wal-Mart, Best Buy, and Toys R Us are some stores that carry them. Metal Gear Solid Rising is a new game that stars Raiden but pretty much every Metal Gear fans knows it won't be that great because it's multi-platform and it has to run on the xbox 360 which uses DVD so it limits Rising. However if Kojima puts it on a few discs then it will be a hell of a lot better. Uncharted 2 is easily the best game this year so yeah get that and get Drake's Fortune if for some reason you have yet to play that. I'd also suggest Killzone 2 and Infamous. If you like Fallout 3 I think you would like borderlands. I'll be getting that game soon. Also there's Resistance 2, MW2, Fallout 3 GOTY, Demon's Souls and GOW Collection. PSN online also continues to grow with the addition of netflix and movie downloads.

Sony sales: Yeah I figured that would happen. Once Sony initated the price drop, it's only a matter of time before Sony passes them, but looking at it, Sony seems to be on quite a roll lately, since they botched the first few years.

MGS: Yeah, I am looking at both games and Kojima seems WAY more excited about the PSP game than the Raiden one. I always thought the next chapter in MGS would be sort of a "Create-A-FOX-HOUND" type deal. Or an Akiba based game.

Games: Yeah, Uncharted 2 was at the top of my list with AC2 to get. I'm still a little iffy on Ratchet tbh. Otherwise, I think I am gonna get a bunch of older, cheaper games that I have not played yet, since I have practically no games anymore. ._.

EDIT: And I am getting the PSN cards.

Well if your looking for cheap games you should probably check out Valkyria Chronicles, Resistance Fall of Man, Bioshock, Dead Space and Elder Scrolls IV Oblivion Game of the Year Edition.

Yep.

Its just a pretty FPS. If you're gonna get it, rent it for the SP.

The online is gonna be exploited, dual wielding shotguns everywhere and grenades. Its gonna be worse then MW1 online

But the SP is fucking awesome. Wish it lasted longer but nowadays MP>SP

AC2 looks epic, like I said, top of my list. And I am not big into FPS's. The last one I had was World at War and it did nothing for me. The whole genre is played out tbh. And fuck, Demon's Souls looks ridiculously hard. But honestly, that won't be a problem with my skills. That's gonna be a gametime decision pretty much though. I think i'll get it. Special edition? As far as the older games, DMC4, RE5, Bioshock, and Uncharted are likely for me.

I'm not a game junkie, but since when did Modern Warfare suck online? That game was epic. I was hooked for days at my friends house. I still am lol.
