his overall ring psychology, IMO, needs work.

:lmao 95% of the wrestlers should be taking a look at his psychology and work. They could use lessons.

Yeah, because I'm sure your physique is anywhere near that of Christians. Just because the guy isn't 265 of pure muscle doesn't mean he needs to gain weight. He's a pretty damn fit guy by my standards and probably in the best shape I've ever seen him in. Christian always had a little bit of baby fat on him but since going to TNA he's managed to shed it all off and get down to a really nice lean muscle physique.
As far as his in ring work goes he's probably one of the best in the company right now and is by far one of the most over faces.

Let's get a picture of you flexing and see what you look like. He's is anything but a spaghetti noodle.

Admittedly there have been no real memorable stories in matches from him since he's returned, but keep in mind that he's been working with guys who are pretty much rookies. So, for that, he's done a very good job of injecting inter-match psychology (i.e. working over a body part and selling it, callback spots from previous matches, etc). If/when given the chance to work with guys like Edge, Hunter, Michaels, Jericho I think we'll see deeper storytelling like we saw from him against Styles, Rhino, and Sting over in TNA.

I don't know where Christian's appearance went south, but it did somewhere. His hair is almost white these days and it looks like a bulldozer rolled over his face. It's a shame what age can do to a person. Compare late 2006-early 2007 HBK to the HBK of today, age can strike quickly. Someone said it above, he is 35. He is getting up there. No chance he can keep his youth forever.

Christian isn't that small of a guy though. He is not a John Cena, but is a decent HW wrestler. He still has great in ring technique and still has gas in the tank to really make some noise in the WWE, that is if they let him.

He's basically taking some time off to spend with family and friends and also waiting for a big contract to come along, which i highly fell and have a good feeling will be the WWE.
