Right now there is a lot of concern regarding the health of The Undertaker. He came back to work in Puerto Rico, as a warm up for his Breaking Point match, and that is when concern started. After WrestleMania, 'Taker had hip surgery, but it was played off as a minor thing. In reality, he had very serious surgery, possibly a hip replacement, and the company wondered if he would return at all. Taker is in a lot of pain, and noticeably slower; this is why the Breaking Point match was booked to be so short. Some are wondering if we will see him retire at WrestleMania 26.

If he had a hip replacement there is no way he's going to be able to wrestle up until Mania. He's going to have to leave and come back for a last minute and probably LAST Mania story line.

Fuckwads shouldn't have brought him back so soon. Either he gets Jericho or Heel Cena at this years Mania and that's it.

^^^^^100% what he said.

Pressumably his match at HIAC will bill sub-par.

What next for SD's main event?

No tag belts for Rey & Dave, m'thinks...

Crap. If this is going to be his last Mania. Let's hope they don't job him and end the streak. Please Vince if you're reading, let this be the one lasting legacy of the Deadman. The only undefeated wrestler at 'Mania ever.

I guess with Hardy leaving, he put his hand up and said he would return. If Hardy wasn't such a dick, Taker wouldn't have returned until the Rumble imo.

Taker putting loyalty/dedication over his personal well being to the eventual detriment of the product is a fail on WWEs part. They should have said no to him and just turned to Batista sooner.

For all the build and storyline in place for Punk/Taker (i.e. NONE!), they could have brough Big Dave for that fued instead.

Taker returning as the number 30 entrant and winning would have been ftw.

Then retiring at Mania after winning the title, holding he title up with his signature pose thingo, then lights go out and he vanishes, leaving the title in the middle of the ring.

I always imagined some kind of smoky finish with the Graveyard Symphony (his entrance music title) playing, and him descending into the middle of the ring or something. It'd be a theatrical and cool "retiring" of the deadman, if done right.

Awww Kizza <333

I actually have thought the same thing many times. I thought him going out like that would be fucking epic.
Then show an 18-0 graphic on the screen with Taker's hand pulling back into the ground or some shit...that could be cool.

Can you imagine if they did the Taker retirement during the Ministry-Of-Darkness era. :yikes:

Unfortunately, now I don't think creative are gonna come up with anything particularly notable which is why I'm all up for the streak being broken cos it might just aid my FUTURE enjoyment of the product.

I'm still liking the fact that he's coming out with the Phenom era coat on. I mark a little every time I see it.
I really couldn't stand the cowboy hat and trenchcoat.

And am I the only one who wishes they'd maybe darken him up a little bit...bring back the Phenom era music as well...that shit was amazing.

I think that they should have had his match with Shawn his last WM match- seeing as he isn't in a condition to give us a 5* match at WM 26 whoever his opponent is, it would be best that he would be sent out in a great match not one that he is limping and having a hard time lifting his opponent up off of their feet. He should have beaten Shawn in their 5* match (imo) and that would have been it.

I just hope to god that his WM 26 opponent can put on a decent storyline / fight (jericho / Cena) instead of someone like Dibiase (who was roumered a month or so ago to end it)

Well yeah, they need a guy who's going to be able to make up for the difference of what Taker can't do. Jericho is obviously a slightly better bet than Cena in this department.

Yeah. Whoever it is, needs to sell for Taker like The Rock used to sell for Austin.

Whoever faces him needs to do backward flips and somersaults when he takes a clothesline. You guys know what I'm talking about.

LOL! I don't know if they need to go to that crazy of an extreme but they definitely need to take some attention off the fact that Taker is in bad shape.

Is it me... or is the possibly the saddest and most depressing fading out of a wrestler ever?
