Can't imagine Hangman winning here... gonna be interesting to see when they'll end up breaking the stipulation. Can see them going 1 and a half to 2 years with it at least.

And another Revolution in the books. That Main Event was a great story told extremely well. Some nasty spots included as always... all around a fun time and a fitting end for an overall very, very good PPV. I won't call it a show of the year contender though, because I have a feeling it just won't hold up by the end of the year BUT FTR/Bucks, the Mainer and Take/Mox were all superb with Swerve v Brody getting a big extra point for being so different overall.

No big things to complain about, only nitpicks really.

I can see Swerve v Omega and as I already said Cage/Cope taking the titles off FTR at Dynasty happening. Not sure if they would put that in the Main Event even with it being in Canada... also I really hope they are giving Andrade the nod for a title Match against Max now. Dynasty, where the spotlights are on other stories, would be a good place for that imo.

...although I almost expect some guys who like to hurt people gonna show back up to haunt MJF...

Oh yea... am I the only one, who thinks Hangman might be a front runner for this year's Continental Classic now that he is basically banned from challenging for the World Title? :hmm:

I think that would be a good call. Honestly, the element of this stipulation that I think a lot of people haven't thought of, and I myself really failed to consider, is that it really isn't *that* brutal if Hangman never is world champ again. In my opinion at least. Though I think he will be, eventually. But, at the same time, I think you can do years and years of Hangman stories and various title reigns that will still be extremely good, to the point that I think people would basically forget about this stipulation. Like, I can truly see a timeline in which Hangman maybe only wins the world title one more time, and it's later in his career as a grizzled vet after this stipulation has long faded in the minds of many fans.

Though I don't place that much stock in title reigns for wrestlers, unless they're guys who need that validation, and of course I think companies should be smart about who they put the top prize on. But for Hanger, he's good either way. Title or not, he's one of the faces of the company.

And also, of course, they could just completely undo that stipulation very quickly and everything I just said is irrelevant.

Tony Khan says Hangman Adam Page only has a verbal agreement not to challenge for the AEW World Championship ever again.

“It’s the same thing with Cody [Rhodes]. It was a gentleman’s handshake with both of them. They both came to me and said, ‘I want to put this at stake.’ And both of them, I told them, ‘That sounds f*cking nuts, dude.’ Both of them really wanted to do it. And in both cases I said, ‘Are you sure?’ And then they both said, ‘Yeah.' So it is an agreement we made. Second time it’s happened. [Page] is somebody that’s known for being a man of his word, and we made an agreement. So it’s a verbal contract.”

Me posting this was overlooked i guess.

Its a verbal contract. "Hangman a man of his word."

He can go back on it.

Verbal contracts are just as legally binding as written ones for modt cases and if wrestling was real I would assume hangman legally couldn't actually go back on it fwiw lol

So they'll keep it in their quiver for a possible heel turn or some other story where they can use it for. I'm sure some people still gonna point it out, the moment they break it.

Yea... also I think it's easy to overlook to realize for how long Hangman was either in the title picture or adjacent/directly under the title picture now. He's been in that position basically since his first run and the Main Event scene is going to be booming these next 16-24 months at least.

I'd even say Max paid a better tribute in that one PPV appearance, than Tommy Dreamer did every time he wore the Funk-Tights.
