I'm actually assuming the plan was for Sareee vs Mone as the finals bc I mean that would have been fucking awesome and when that couldn't happen the new momentum for Maya was there to give her a moment without changing plans. Personally I wanted Athena to win in the first place so those not being the plans disappointment but if Mercedes was always going to win I think giving Maya this is by far the way to go. Athena losing to Mercedes would have been way more annoying g

I don't know how much of you guys have seen Sareee's work overall in Japan but man she is legit my 2nd favorite Women Wrestler and some days blows away AZM for that Crown. Hopefully in the future the AEW fans gets to see her talents girl loves to fight.
