^^^[1st bit]Yeah, I think a contendership match would have been a good thing.
BUT
Regal hasn't been off TV, if he's not been on ECW he's been on Superstars and he hasn't simply been squashing jobbers - He's had a crack against all the new faces + Dreamer & Christian (off the top of my head, prety much every face on the show isn't it). So your current perception of Regal is way off.
To be honest now it seems like Shelton's gone face (although, based upon his after-match antics, he still seemingly missing what it takes to connect with the crowd), I think it's a damn shame we didn't get Regal v Shelton in a contender match NEXT week.
Appologies if I misconstrued any of your initial comments. Just seemed tto me that you were sharing in the dissapointment that Ryder wasn't named #1 contender and agreeing that Ryder isn't getting a break.

Not the first time I've seen such a comment about him being in-ring trained.... Where does this impression come from?
"I was hoping that they wouldn't go the route and play dumb that they didn't know and maybe just have Helms play the Eric Young/Super Eric thing where he's in denile that he's a super hero, although others already know."
Well that's pretty much what's been going on, but when he did the run in this week the titantron, in HUGE letters, said "Hurricane Helms". :roll:
"I'd seriously hate if they became a tag team. Their little program was good at 1st, but there's no enhancement to the storyline. After a month of doing the same thing (which is obsoluty nothing) people are going to be turned off from it.."
Seems utterly pointless unless they're gonna bring Show & Y2J over to face them.
The more I think about it, their teaming will prob be a short term pre-cursor to them fueding.
They should just get on with it they could have already split them by now! LOL
"Reks should just go heel. Dreamer's not doing anything, have Reks vs Dreamer, Dreamer win with a role up and Reks go all out and do a heelish attack on him. I feel he's going to go down the Ortiz route, shit face nobody cares about and then go on a too-late heel turn."
Yeah, probably.... Although I'd guess Dreamer v Ryder will feature sooner rather than later.
