Hi ya'll.

I had debated possibly doing an awards but instead I've decided to do something a little different but still take a look back at the year that was 2025 for the BTB section.

As you know, or maybe you don't and this is your first time learning about it, but each month we ran monthly BTB of the Month votes where voters ranked their top 5 BTBs, awarding points as follows:

  • 1st = 5 points
  • 2nd = 4 points
  • 3rd = 3 points
  • 4th = 2 points
  • 5th = 1 point
The BTB of the month is the one that receives the most points, but we also recognize all BTBs receiving votes that month as well.

For this thread, these monthly results were tallied cumulatively across all 12 months (Jan–Dec 2025) to determine the overall BTB of the Year and the full top rankings.

This thread compiles the final standings: every BTB that earned at least 1 point across the entire season is listed, ranked by total points. Over the next week or so, I'll be revisiting the BTBs of note from 2025 and offering some other recognition along the way!

Huge thanks to everyone who voted each month, posted their BTBs, and kept the section alive. This was one of the strongest years on record for variety, volume, and quality.

Check back in tomorrow as we get the rankings underway.

Let's start out first with some of the numbers behind the 2025 BTB of the Month votes.

For 2025, we averaged 9.7 voters per month. I always like to hope we hit double digits each month in voting, so we were baaaaasically there. But lets get that average up this year!

Each month, I make sure to acknowledge anyone who leaves a vote because it is very appreciated. Sometimes finding time to leave actual feedback on BTBs can be hard, so dropping a ballot each month to make sure your favorite BTBs are getting the acknowledge they deserve is a really cool thing to do and as a writer myself, any vote I receive acts as encouragement to continue.

So thank you to anyone who voted even just one time in 2025. But I wanted to take a moment to acknowledge the ones who voted most often including @Loochquake , @EZ3 , @Jam , and @RDT who voted at least 5 times throughout the year. But I want to really tip my hat to four of you that voted every single month of 2025 and that was @BattleTank , @Roy Mustang , @Stojy and @White Rhyno . You are the real heroes!

On average, each month we saw 14.9 BTBs that received votes in each month.

The highest total a winning BTB received during the year was in September, won by BattleTank's NWATNA. The closest gap between first place and second place was in August when Stojy edged out BattleTank with a 33-32 vote.

Before I begin to reveal the top 10 BTBs of 2025, I want to provide a moment to acknowledge any BTB that received votes this past year.

In total, we voted for 55 unique BTBs at some point during the year, including these great projects below:

We kick off the top ten with a couple of projects from Stojy! 2025 was a massive year for Stojy, because, spoiler alert, this won't be the last time we see his name in the top 10!

And actually, these both ended up with the same number of points!

Extreme Championship Wrestling by Stojy (47 points) - @Stojy

Stojy's reposting of his Hall of Fame project was a very popular read here in the BTB section the first part of the year as it showed up in four consecutive months to start the year. For some it was reliving the great moments from a BTB they already read while for others, they got to experience it for the first time. I believe this always paved the way for the current Redux project.

World Championship Wrestling by Jim Cornette (47 points) - @Stojy

Another one that was popular for Stojy at beginning of the year. Definitely one of the more creative and just absolute fun BTBs of the year. I mean, who didn't enjoy watching Hollywood Hogan be subservient to Raven or even just a BTB where Raven is WCW Champion? While, of course, his other projects are great - I do miss this one.

WSW: World Series Wrestling (50 points) - @deltablues

I think it is awesome to see WSW by deltablues landing its way into the Top 10 BTBs of the year. It certainly has a bit of a dedicated fanbase as it has shown up each month (I believe) it was eligible to receive votes but deltablues also has shown to be one of the most consistent members of the section as this one landed on the BTBOTM list 7 times. Only seven of the 55 BTBs that landed on the list this year showed up that many times. I love the commitment so this is a spot well earned!
Come back tomorrow to see more of our Top 10 BTBs of 2025!

The Redux - Extreme Championship Wrestling (55 points) - @Stojy
I told you we weren't done with Stojy yet! Late in 2025, Stojy returned to the company (and time period) that produced that amazing BTB he was reposting that also made the top 10. Obviously this one is off to a great start because it landed in the top 10 after just two months of votes, with one of those months he was able to knock BattleTank off his hill! 55 points in 2 months is some impressive totals! I for one look forward to more ECW in 2026.

WWE: The Gorilla Position ~ Vol. II (88 points) - @EZ3
This BTB was off to a hot start at the beginning of 2025 as EZ3 picked up BTBOTM for both January and February. It performed strongly the first four months of the year but then we had to go without this project for a few months. But fear not Gorilla Position fans, EZ3 returned in October and November (to both the BTB and the BTBOTM list) so hopefully we'll get more of this BTB in 2026 as well.

We continue, now into the top 5 BTBs of 2025!

WWE: The Blueprint (92 points) - @WrestleWizard
WrestleWizard has had multiple strong BTBs over the last year, but it The Blueprint has been the one that rose to the top. First appearing on the list in March, it went on a strong run of 8 months in a row on the BTB of the Month list, including a 2nd place finish in September. While right now, Last Time is Now seems to be WW's focus, its nice to see Blue Print also continues to move forward as well, as it reappeared on the list already for January of 2026!

The Pro Wrasslin' Business 2025 (131 points) - @Stojy
Four BTBs in the Top 10 is quite the impressive feat. Stojy pops up one last time here as the fourth highest scoring BTB of the year. And perhaps most impressive was that he racked up these points in just 5 months time with a run of June-October on the list. This was quite an ambitious project and well worth the votes it received, including a BTB of the Month Award for August. And even with the other projects Stojy has going on, he managed to bring this one back for January, so we could see this one continue to be a prominent BTB in 2026.

Wow, better late than never to finish this sucker. Behold, your TOP THREE BTBs OF 2025!

WWF: The Federation Years (145 points) - @DTP
DTP's commitment to this project has been amazing and it has been a consistent BTB of the month challenger (and winner) - including picking up banners in January and April, but being in the top 3 of BTBOTM 5 times. But perhaps most impressive is that it's one of only TWO BTBs that made the BTBOTM list each and every month of 2025. Not only is he consistent but obviously the quality is as well. Not to mention, this one has already picked up another BTBOTM award in February of 2026. DTP has debuted a new project now but I imagine we'll still be seeing more of this behemoth as well.

WWE 2019: No Wildcards (177 points) - @Roy Mustang
I just mentioned that only two BTBs showed up all 12 months of 2025 on the BTBOTM list. Well, here's the other one that fits that description. Much like DTP, Roy's commitment to this project is unparalleled. Not sure I've seen one person stick to one project for as long as Roy has but also be so consistent in posting shows and updates. It's quite impressive especially given the quality of the shows. The women's division is always a highlight but really when it comes to "Modern" WWE, this one is among the best ever overall. If you can get me to be interested in a modern day WWE BTB, you must be good at what you do! Along with showing up on the list all 12 months, Roy grabbed a BTBOTM banner in May and landed in the top 3 5 different times as well. In January of 2026 he added another banner to increase his all time total to a WS BTBOTM best SIXTEEN total awards.

NWA:TNA - The Genesis (233 points) - @BattleTank
And without further adue, your highest scoring BTB of 2025! BattleTank's run with this BTB was quite impressive. It takes the top scoring BTB spot for 2025 despite only being a BTB for 7 months of the year but immediately found it's way to the top spot in BTB of the Month voting where BattleTEank grabbed 1st place in June, July, September, October, and one more time in November. It finished in the top 3 of voting all 7 months as well. There's no denying BattleTank is among the best to ever do this and he proved he's not just an early 90's WWF guy with the way he handled the early days of TNA to damn near perfection. As happy as I am to see WWF 91 and Beyond back, I do hope we continue to see more from this as well in 2026!

There you have it! Congrats to our top 3 BTBs from 2026 but also shout out to everyone who contributes to this section - whether it be by writing or by offering feedback or votes.

I look forward to checking back at the beginning of 2027 to see how this year pans out!
