    As of now, it seems to be true. Although there is a lot of debate on this topic because some claim that it can't truly reach the ozone layer. In any case, this is science. Which means, whether it's fact or not, it can change and is subject to change depending on new discoveries, etc.

    I'm not sure why they don't wear knee pads. Maybe they feel uncomfortable? I know when I did MMA and wrestled in high school, I never wore knee pads even though several people did. For some reason, they bothered me more than helped and I was fine without them. Maybe the same kind of thing?
