I watched NMitro back then as WWF was on satellite TV which I did not have. Stopped watching just after the fingerpoke of doom.
I bought into the Goldberg push and Sting in the rafters and watched WWF PPV through to the debut of Kane.
Currently watching the AE and up to the King of the Ring...
If you have the network go back to perhaps the start of Nash and hall in WCW and watch thoguh to maybe the middle of 98.
Hogan/Sting build up, NWO before it sucked, DDP, rise of Goldberg. Young Jericho the cruiserweights etc.
Nope WCW when it was good (96-98) was PG. The Sting/Hogan angle for example.
It was PG when I started watching in 88, the old NWA was mostly PG, the good part of the New Generation was also PG.
Can't fix crap booking.
This most of the great wrestling angles have actually been PG. NXT is PG and that is great. So was WCW, the 80's and when HBK/Taker/Bret were being great.
If the booking and storytelling are crap PG/PG-14 won't matter.
Business ethics though, who and how you do business with can matter. They should not be surprised at backlash over taking money to wrestle in Saudi Arabia which is one of the worst countries in the world in regards to human rights (they hide a lot of it). House of Saud is making minimal changes...
Started in 1988 but have missed large parts as I go away come back depending on RL.
I missed most of the 1999-2016 for example although I watched throughy to 2000 AE on the network.
Also stopped watching RAW and Smackdown just watch the PPV, NXT and the occasional special.
I don't think I would put him in the top list of greatest heels. Some of those old NWA guys had people assault, and stab them or tip the car over. Vince would be above him as well.
This is more or less how I feel. He is a decent to good worker, is not an asshat by most accounts (unlike HBK for example). I don't like the way he is pushed or booked most of the time (Braun wrecking him was fun though) but yeah it takes guts getting booed all the time.
Damn another good week of 205 live. Japan vs Luchre event got some pops and the Roderick Strong vs Cedric Alexander was also good.

Probably over exposure and he had a back stage habit of changing finishes to benefit himself (not as bad as HBK but still)
He has been around 15 years and on top for 13 perhaps. Austin more or less burnt out in 5 years on top, Rock was something similar, HBK and Bret Hart were not on top that...
