It’s interesting that I’ve actually come a long way on that. I’m still a hard-core fuck that guy but when it comes to retro stuff, I’m not even removing him from a WCW BTB that I’ve been pre-planning like 1000 years.

Like. I think him and ZSJ would be a great fucking match if you look at it from a ring work stand point. Especially in a Pure Rules Match.

Yeah the early technical Benoit I've come to appreciate more but growing up I loved 2004 era Benoit where he just brawled around

It’s honestly been freeing when I got far enough away from it that I was actually able to just enjoy his matches again through like I don’t go on my way to just watch Benoit match but I don’t skip his stuff on my WCW watches anymore and it’s honestly so much fun just letting it be in the moment.

I'm just gonna be voting on how hype i'd be to see the matches and personal stuff plays into a lot of guys but it's weighted differently on the situation and I'll be honest the matchup can sway me more too lol

When I was like 13 I didn't play svr 07 story mode for a year bc I was in one with Benoit lol this was like within a year after it happened tho
