Revisiting Three Six was a lot of fun for me. It really took me back. This one definitely still holds up and way more bangers than I remember there being. It reminded me of the friend that got me into them as well like Tech N9ne, Lil Wyte, Paul Wall, Mike Jones and few others.

Aight Imma go with Dali Ain't Dead by ZelooperZ from last year. Admittedly this one was somewhat of a grower for me, but over time I came to really love it. Dude is from Detroit and is part of Danny Brown's Bruiser Brigade. He collabs with quite a few artists I like such as Danny, Earl Sweatshirt, Zack Fox and TiaCorine (the overlap with Tia and Shady affiliated rappers definitely inspired the choice a little).

Just know going in that his voice is outrageous at times, but maybe give it time to grow if you hate it at first. :lol Also, chose this project from him because I think it covers the most vibes and genres. Some of his music is pure chaos, some is really smooth, this album showcases basically his whole range of musicality.

I’m gonna hate this aren’t I?

I listened to this twice just to see if there was a track that I really liked. There wasn’t but also as a whole it wasn’t awful. The voice isn’t as jarring as I expected. The issue I have is he leans on repeating the title like 100 times a song. But it was inoffensive to me so that’s a win for a Hoss pick

My favorite songs from this album tend to be the slower ones. Top 3 are probably Take Me I'm Drugs, Describe and I Mac. Since idk when there'd be another chance to highlight these songs, here are some of my other favorites he has/appears on

^ The song that first put me onto him. Iconic sample, I actually am not sure what song it appeared on originally but Drug Dealers Anonymous by Pusha and Jay Z uses the same sample.

^ Collab with TiaCorine which is one of my favorite songs in her catalog.

^ This one might be my overall favorite. Same sample as 1Train, very bouncy beat, great verses by Z, Danny and Bruiser Wolf. Great hook.

^ Wiki is someone else that I've considered nominating but who knows if we'll get there :lol I feel like he may have some appeal for you @King Kong Booty due to his gritty underground NY style. He's got songs with DOOM and Run The Jewels I'm pretty sure. This song really peaks in the second half when the beat switches up to that Candy Shop sample.

I didn’t know if I would like this one or not but I did enjoy it. Especially liked the tracks “Bebe Kids” and “Fuck Cigarettes”. I think I had listened to him once before with his Van Goghs Left Ear album in 2021 but I don’t remember anything from it the album art just looked familiar to me.

My contribution this time is an album. I got into my sophomore year college. A lot of bangers on this one. I think it’s something you both enjoy a little bit or anybody else that decides to join in.

Sorry for taking so long to getting around to this.

I didn’t know what to expect from this I really dug this one a lot. I get vibes from a few different artists like a little bit of Wu-Tang vibes, also a bit of Pac and Biggie vibes. It does feel very 90s but a bit more raw. I really liked the tracks Renee, 1, 2, 3, and Lifestyles of the Rich and Shameless.

I’ll be giving there other stuff a listen for sure.

Mr Cheeks had a pretty big solo hit in the early 2000s

Unfortunately Freeky Tah was murdered in 99

Yeah I finally gave this a listen today lol. I thought it was really good. It had an underground element to it but I could also see nearly any of these songs getting radio play, it's well produced and the hooks are super catchy. Lyrically, I'd say nothing necessarily stood out that you wouldn't hear on plenty of other songs from that era, but everyone performed well on the verses and it just came together for a good, cohesive album that's easy listening. Coulda easily seen someone like Busta or Craig Mack on some of these tracks. Favorite song goes to Renee.
