The usual selective memory of Wrestling promotions

To be fair, I think as a society we try to forget about all of 2020.

I am really just referring to watching the empty arena stuff. I had a hard time trying to rewatch the Raw/SD's from before Thunderdome. Thunderdome helped a bit cause it felt bigger but still was awkward.

There was good wrestling from that. Boneyard, Firefly Funhouse. And then when Thunderdome started we got the beginnings of The Bloodline. But it's off-putting watching a program so based on crowd reactions without a crowd.

It's a time period in wrestling that I kinda do remember fondly but would never go back to watch :lol

WWE Vault (and Youtube in general) is great as you can just pull up the stuff that merits rewatching (Boneyard, Firefly Funhouse, Greatest Wrestling Match Of All Time lol) without having to see all the other stuff.

Also 2020 was the awkward time between Zack Ryder dying and Matt Cardona turning into the biggest act in Indie Wrestling. Hence why it is difficult. That was his brief AEW run then some TNA stuff in the end of the year. Come 2021 he single handedly rebuild the indie scene with the GCW Universal Title and the NWA Worlds Championship

When Tasha Steelz and Jada Stone were brawling outside of the ring, Steelz grabbed Stone's wrist and executed The Rainmaker clothesline. Except Stone backed away and Steelz hit nothing but air.

Stone then fell down and sold it as though she was hit with that clothesline.

What a split-legged moonsault by Stone.

Stone with successive handsprings but Steelz counters with a well done German suplex.

Watching now. Seems like a shorter episode than usual. Nic Nemeth is on commentary for... AJ Francis vs KC Navarro. Navarro counters the chokeslam with a hurricanrana. Idk why he tried to lift Francis after that. Ouch, KC got thrown into the apron. Then into the ring post. KC gets closer the second time... surely he can't lift Francis. Big DDT! KC gets Francis onto the ropes... Super Olympic Slam! That's a good spot. KC leaps off the top rope but gets hit with a spear! Francis stares at Nemeth and gets rolled up! KC gets the pin. That was a fun match.

EC3 backstage segment. Oh god he's yapping. I'm worried he's going to indulge in that stuff.

The System are going to do a promo. Their theme now has an Alisha soundbite. They're going to continue until the end of time, aren't they? Ugh she said the line. Twice. Cedric claims he is owed a title shot. Slater interrupts. Then Moose comes out. Edge's bitch!!! Slater tries to set up a match but of course Daria Rae is here. So who's the guy above Daria? Is it Silva? Is he canonically a shithead lol. Daria sets up Slater and Moose vs the entire System... lmao.

Elijah wants a rematch with Kaz. Daria calls Kaz, who declines. Lol.

Tasha vs Jada next. Though, Ali cuts a promo first (with What chants because these crowds are giant L's). Ali announces an open challenge for his title. Jada comes out and brawls with Tasha, who gets out of the ring. Jada kind of just jumps onto Tasha and they both fall, but then Tasha pushes her into the ring post. Was Hotch going to hit Stone if the ref didn't see? I thought they did a story about how that wasn't something he wanted to do. Anyways, Steelz kicks out after the moonsault. I think their timing is a bit off - but Tasha hits a German Suplex on Jada. Ali distracts Jada, who gets hit with a cutter. She kicks out. The ref kicks Order 4 out. Jada hit a stunner and wins. That was alright.

Rosemary segment up next. Omg, Joseph Park. Then we cut to some other stuff and I have no clue what's going on.

The System want a piece of Nic. Ryan is going to call his mom :lol

Santana promo. Huh, Santana wants to face Rich Swann. Lol how are they what'ing a babyface. Santana vs Swann next week sounds fun.

Injury report. EC3 is cleared!? What!? No way...

Lei Ying Lee segment. Well, she can act. Evil Xia is asked why, and just... walks away.

EC3 vs EY next. EY attacks EC3 before the bell rings, and then they brawl. Lmao the ref gets tossed to the outside. No contest. EC3 gets a chair but EY puts it on his neck. EC3 ends up going into the steps.

More Rosemary stuff. Uhh, the Diamond Collective emerge from under the ring. Then Rosemary and Mara Sade show up and get beaten up. Allie is back! And she clears the ring. Finally she's here.

The Hardys segment. I guess we'll do a cinematic match soon.

The System vs Moose and Slater next. Myers accidentally spears Bronson. Them actually mentioning Aries by name makes me wonder if they'll bring him in to put Slater over. Lmao Moose kicked a security guard. Slater gets hit with a Lumbar Check and is pinned by Cedric. Match was okay.

Overall, the show was fine. The wrestling was fine. They set up some stuff for the future. Some of the show was downright bizarre, lol.

Rosemary's vignette was hilarious! The frightened look on her face as she saw Frank walking down the hallway.
