Problem is this draft class falls off a cliff at QB after Mendoza. Better off getting a one year rental and looking towards next year as opposed to reaching for a QB at 16

Whatever the case may be right now I rather have Fields than Geno but if the Jets want to keep wasting their time and not just completely start over and draft a QB at 16 it's better than giving away assets I feel. For Fields's side I wouldn't be shocked to see Andy and the returning Bieniemy turns something with Fields within their Offense.
The kid from Alabama is the 2nd best QB. And he sucks. If they didn't get Mendoza at 1.1 this isn't the year to draft a QB. 2027 on the other hand will be a very deep QB class (Manning, the Oregon kid, and more), also the Jets have THREE first round picks in that draft so they should have no problem getting whatever QB they want regardless of record.

We all saw what Fields has been for his entire career. He's ass. His only hope is to get to a place with good offensive coaching and maybe learn as a backup (A/K/A the Sam Darnold method). That's what he is doing. And in all honesty for his sake I hope it works out for him.

Also the Jets didn't give up assets for this swap, they literally GAINED assets. Traded a 2026 6th for a 2026 7th and a 2027 6th. The monies even out.

Geno is a plug and play Starter. Fields is a backup at this point in his career. Jets gained a draft pick to swap QBs. Great move all around.

Geno has been a plug and play Starter outside one good solid Year with the Seahawks imo but hey this is a risk to take for them we will see if it works out for them down the road.

The #Broncos are pulling off a post-free agency blockbuster by trading for #Dolphins star WR Jaylen Waddle, per me and @TomPelissero. Premium draft pick compensation is headed to Miami.

So Willis gets signed by the Dolphins and Hill and Waddle are both gone good luck. I have a question towards the whole group here and I wanna know others think on it. I'm sure all of you guys have seen he stuff going on with AJ Brown? What are your thoughts on it?

Dolphins did Willis a disservice trading away his top receiver.

As far as Brown goes, I think a deal is inevitable. Patriots seem to be the favorite.

Speaking of the Eagles, they sign Hollywood Brown to a one year deal.

Fins will for sure draft a top WR now, maybe two. Waddle can’t play a whole game so maybe they didn’t feel he’d be a good one and they took a hell of a deal for him

I remember the days when McNabb didn't have anything at WR outside of one Year from TO and somehow Andy figured it out. The Locker Room splitting with TO and McNabb made him get rid of TO when he was wanted a new Contract for them after his great year in 2004. The last thing I wanna see is a sad ass Offense yes with Dallas, Saquon, and DeVonta take two steps back as a Team. He's locked up till 2029 to me that makes things harder even though the Cap hit is lower after June 1st. I just don't see a situation where you trade AJ for picks in June and it's picks that can't help you out now and you're going to sell to the fanbase we can get back to the Super Bowl with just DeVonta at WR.

Granted we have Hollywood Brown and that helps he tends to find the ball and make plays in space so hopefully that helps ease the stress on AJ and DeVonta. With a new OC surely the Offense can't look anymore trash like it did this past Season hopefully any problems with AJ gets fixed out and we make another Super Bol because outside of Safety they have the talent to do it again I feel.

Tanner McKee is probably on his way out. I can honestly see Howie getting a 2nd or 3rd for Tanner to a team like the Cardinals.

God I'm hoping he's fooling around because with that mindset he is not made to have a long Career thinking like that

JSN's getting paid.

Jaxon Smith-Njigba, the reigning NFL Offensive Player of the Year, has reached agreement with the Seattle Seahawks on a four-year, $168.6 million contract extension that makes him the highest-paid wide receiver in NFL history, sources told ESPN.

The deal averages $42.15 million per year and includes over $120 million guaranteed, both setting records for a wide receiver. With this new agreement, the two-time Pro Bowler is contractually tied to Seattle through the 2031 season.

The Seahawks already exercised Smith-Njigba's fifth-year option for 2027 -- worth approximately $23.9 million -- last week.
