TAG TEAM BOTS
Hello everybody... it's finally time to get the ball rolling with this idea.
While I played with the idea of having this run like the sideBOTS season, that's not gonna be the case. Instead we are doing a very similar thing to how the normal BOTS seasons work, just with that extra wrinkle of y'all playing in Tag Teams. That being said, the biggest difference to normal BOTS will be how the scoring works.
For those, who don't know how these Battle of the Songs (BOTS) competitions work:
In Tag Team BOTS there will still be individual matches between all the participants, BUT obviously every Tag Team will face another Tag Team. The scores of both individual match-ups between the Tag partners will be added together and the Team that scores more votes will receive the 3 points for the win. In case of a tie I will deviate from the normal BOTS scoring and both teams receive only 1 point.
The Top Three scores are handled pretty much the same. The scores of both Tag partner's individual songs are added up with the best team receiving 3 Bonus Points, the second best receiving 2 BP and the third best team gets 1 BP. On top of that there is a special EXTRA Bonus Point to get each round, for the individual with the highest Top Three score, who IS NOT part of a Tag Team that received any kind of BPs that round.
Just like with normal BOTS: You are not allowed to vote for your own song. Not in the match, nor in the Top Three voting.... BUT ALSO since this is TagBOTS, you are also not allowed to vote for your Tag Partner's song either!
I will keep individual rankings as well, because that is how we're gonna decide which Tag Partner will face who of the opponent's team. The two better placed individuals of both teams will always face each other.
Strategizing is not only allowed (obviously) but also welcomed. Before the competition starts I'm going to start a DM/Conversation with each Tag Team and I will only take songs send to me through those. Those conversations can also be used for strategizing, since I'm not gonna play in this anyways. Very important: I will not allow one Tag Partner to send in 4-5 songs and then have the other just pick one of those songs. I'm only allowing every player to officially send in a maximum of 3 songs each round and each Tag partner has to send in different songs. You can discuss your song choices in those DMs (or anywhere else), obviously, but when you decide on what songs to use, please make sure to keep these rules in mind.
Also... GOOD NEWS EVERYONE! I laid out my plans for this to Booty and asked him about this and I'm very happy to announce that he gave me his blessing for this:
For this TAG TEAM BOTS competition the current BOTS Hall of Fame AND the official BOTS Used Song list are NULL AND VOID! That means an absolute clean slate for this first TagBOTS. Every song (that fits each round's theme) is available and all songs send in during this competition stay off the normal BOTS Used Songs list (if they are not on there already). I will start a TagBOTS Used Song list though for possible future installments.

IMPORTANT: Please do NOT use this thread for Tag Team building/partner searching! This thread is only for signing up (after you have sorted out your Tag Team details), important infos about this season and possible questions about the rules and competition infos I have written up in this OP. Use the chat, DMs or any other ways to get your Tag Team sorted out, please.
I'm looking for at least 8 teams and the absolute max is going to be 10. I have a contingency plan for how matches and scoring would work in case we hit exactly 9 teams and don't get one more in, but I hope it does not come to that. If we have 8 teams, we will play 8 rounds (every Team faces every other Team once with one bonus round), if we hit 10 teams, then we'll have 10 rounds in total.
When you have sorted out your Tag Team, then one of you please use this form to officially sign-up your Tag Team:

Tag Partner #2:
Afterwards the second person has to confirm the sign-up either with a Thumbs Up react to the sign-up post of their Tag Partner, or preferably with a post of their own (no form needed for that). Then your Tag Team is officially set.
In case of someone wanting to play, that isn't part of this forum: I will only take those in, if they have played at least one normal BOTS season before.
