ok so sometime between the end of this and June @Loochquake is gonna do the tag team bots thing so that is cool
after that will be BOTS 10 and I'll be doing all new categories that I have come up with
after BOTS 10 I'll be choosing 16 players that I feel have a balance of longevity and wins to participate in the Golden God of BOTS tournament.
It will be a single elimination tournament. Every round you are alive you will pick a 5 song playlist to go against your opponents 5 song playlist. You are only allowed to use songs that you've taken in BOTS before and can only use them once during the tourney. This should be a banger.
then BOTS 11 will be a return to the through the years format

I wonder if a BotS themed around "artists whose name starts with one letter" would be a good idea. For example, everyone submits artists starting with F one week, S the next week... Of course you'd ignore the word "the"

doing a thing with some stats and just went through @Chris last season and the numbers don't tell the full story he had 5 11-13 losses and a tie...he was damn close to having his usual kinda season...so his BOTS demise has been greatly exaggerated

5 11-13 is insane in 12 rounds imo

That's why he only had a -16 differential, while his neighbors in the standings had at least -34. His three victories were all pretty clear ones too. Shows you how just a couple of votes each round could change a contestants whole trajectory.

@Loochquake just getting to yours and you had 6 matches that were 13-11 but you went .500 in them and you had a tie
just shows how wildly competitive this season was

in my every crunching of numbers I just revisited season 7 and man for someone who finished so bad I was really so close that year
excluding the last rough which I punted cuz I knew I couldn't win my record was 4-5-2 and I had a total of 100 votes for my songs and 98 against.. 4 of my 5 losses were 10-8s...
insane how that was one of my worst overall finishes but yet so close to having a much better showing... fucking BOTS man
