Damn a little shocked on this one but I was genuinely questioning the entire time he was "promoted" from commentary to his backstage role what use he provided lol as far as I'm aware he was the main guy on the headset communicating things to the current commentators

He was the head of commentary or whatever (had some different official title I think) and was the guy talking to them on their headsets last I heard

I know this bc sometimes during their pre shows they wouldn't have him turned down and you could hear him talking to them before it was fixed

Interesting choice but he does have 20+ years of experience

To me it always felt like it was a "promotion" that was underserved and it was to get him off commentary without firing him but I can't say that for certain at all since I don't know what all he was doing

He was never a good commentator to me which is why I said it was “interesting”

But I could what you’re saying when you say it was a way to get him out the booth

Yeah was thinking that's a possibility, just feels like usually when someone is given president of a subsidiary and then removed quickly the company as a whole has burned on them entirely
