I have no idea who the preacher is but stupid move on his part if you knowingly knew that when the company he works for is a family friendly company with child friendly advertisers.

The age thing is whatever to me as this isn’t a competitive sport, so I doubt wWE is gonna care about that.
Nigeria is where the preacher and Obi is from and sadly this type of belief is spread as well as homosexuality being a crime

social media was a mistake for a lot of ppl, and they don't use the logic of ''would I say this is public without backlash''

aint no way this dude would say this out loud at a convention, so maybe just stfu and keep it to urself online lol
Huge mistake. The funny thing is I think celebrities knew once upon a time to keep them separate because before Twitter was really big celebrities would have a public Facebook post and then they would have a private Facebook post. And they will keep all their friendly family, political talk on their private account that they didn’t give access to anyone other people they friended.

You’re so right though. If you wouldn’t say it to peoples faces in a public setting. Especially a setting where you are partially doing it for work. Why would you say it on social media?

I don’t see why he would be let go because of sharing that video. It was a dumb move but it appears that he’s since deleted it and has stayed mum on the situation. That’s not me condoning the subject of the video btw, it’s lame he believes in that stuff.

The age thing is weird but whatever.

It’s 2024. I don’t understand how celebrities haven’t caught onto the fact that they shouldn’t post anything on their social medias that isn’t a direct promotion of what they’re currently working on.
Cue the people trying to defend him with "He's only X years old, give him a break, he'll grow out of it." etc

Bingo
He sees nothing wrong with because it’s how he was raised. And that’s still a thing in like 75% of the world

fwiw, he could as my beliefs today were not the same as when i was in my early 20s. HOWEVER that should not mean we ignore he said it in the first place, I agree

I can’t remember if it’s Nigeria but I think it might’ve been somewhere else. I Remember there was an African country leader who publicly said on a public interview that they fully believed in the death penalty for homosexuality etc. and they didn’t care what the west thought of it. It’s crazy how pervasive it is across the world.

Nigeria passed a law to kill homosexuals, unfortunately

The International Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Trans and Intersex Association (ILGA) reported in 2020 that in at least six UN member states—Brunei, Iran, Mauritania, Nigeria (some states in northern Nigeria), Saudi Arabia, and Yemen—homosexual activity is punishable by death.[1] These six were joined in 2023 by Uganda, which became the only Christian-majority country with capital punishment for some consensual same-sex acts.[3] Excepting Uganda, all countries currently having capital punishment as a potential penalty for homosexual activity base those laws on interpretations of Islamic teachings.[4][5]: 25, 31  In 2007, five countries conducted executions as a penalty for homosexual acts.[6] In 2020, the ILGA named Iran and Saudi Arabia as the only countries in which executions for same-sex activity had taken place.[5]: 38

Actually, you know now that you mention that Uganda was the latest one? It might’ve been Uganda even. It was a more recent interview where they were talking about passing the law.

It's Uganda, which made it a crime to be homosexual, with the penalty being up to execution.

Yeah, that’s rather unfortunate and a tricky situation and absolutely nobody should excuse the atrocities that are committed in their country. Not just with homosexuals but in regards to a lot of human rights violations.

That being said, I’m gonna be honest with you. If they offered me $1 billion to run only two shows a year, I don’t know if I have the willpower to say no on principle.
