Tbh I probably won't be able to play it myself, but I mean, it looks pretty good yeah. As long as it isn't a half-assed project, since there are some reasons HD remasters don't work, as they can mess up the AI slightly at higher FPS.

From what I've been reading it looks like they've been working on it for 8 years. First time I'm hearing about, but been a long time coming apparently. They've done a good job on some of the textures if the trailer is anything to go by.

Yeah, it has been worked for about 8 years. I remember hearing about it, and I have been keeping up with it off and on. I won't be able to play it at all, but I just like seeing how fans can take something and make it look great/good. There is/was a YouTube channel they kept up with a lot of HD project games like RE4, New Vegas, Fallout 3, and a couple others. If I find it again, I will link it.

Nah, PS4 version has nowhere near the same fidelity as this. I have that version of the game. It's pretty solid though. From the looks of this, they've totally re-done everything.

I also have the PS4 version, too. It is just a remaster of the GameCube version. And adds the PS2 bonuses.

Its not a remake, like the RE2 Remake.

Capcom is working on their take on RE4. But this fan project is cool, too.

Japanese companies traditionally are huge dorks about that stuff. Nintendo is notorious for it as well

Yeah, I hope not. With this being around for 8 years though, you'd think Capcom would have taken action by now maybe?

It's always unfortunate when they take down fan projects like this which have clearly had a lot of heart poured in to, and for no cost at all.

But the way they woudl see it is that they stealing "their" game and all, and making profits from it, which I think it is actually a free thing. But business be like that
