The current reigning champion that being the "Bulgarian Brute" Rusev(c) with his wife and manager Lana alongside him took to the ring on the go home edition of TNS.

He proceeded to proclaim that not only would he be winning the Royal Rumble match, he was also hosting another open challenge.

Best Kept Secret X Rising Sun Sensation
The final match made official for the 2019 Royal Rumble pay per view event came by way of the cruiserweight centric 205 Live brand. It was a singles encounter and revolved around the WWE Cruiserweight Championship.

The title match between current champion Buddy Murphy(c) and Hideo Itami came about as a direct result of the challenger defeating the champion in a Championship Eliminator match. ​

A complete styles clash was what served as the first of three championship matches scheduled for the Kickoff Show. As the “Bulgarian Brute” Rusev© attempted to manhandle the highflying Mustafa Ali.
After about eight minutes of back-and-forth action, the defending champion secured the victory. He did this after his opponent attempted and failed to hit a 450 Splash, then proceeded to lock him in the Accolade for the submission.

Rusev yelled that he would also be winning the men’s Royal Rumble match and go onto WrestleMania. To not only be called the United States Champion but also either a WWE or Universal Champion as well.





WWE RAW Tag Team Championship

Switching over to Monday Night RAW for the next contest, which saw the WWE RAW Tag Team Championship contended for. As the fan favorite pair of Bobby Roode and Chad Gable© were challenged by the very same tag team they defeated to claim the gold in the first place.

It concluded with the second successful retention of championship gold, when Gable trapped Rezar in the Gable Lock (Ankle Lock) for the submission.

WWE Smackdown Tag Team Championship

The Kickoff show concluded with a tag team outing for the set of blue brand tag team gold. That being the WWE Smackdown Tag Team Championship, as the duo of Cesaro and Sheamus collectively known as The Bar© put it on the line against the pair of Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows.

Cesaro and Gallows started the match off and went back and forth for several minutes then made the tag to their respective tag team partners. In the end, it would be Sheamus damn near kicking Anderson’s head off with a Brogue Kick for the deciding pinfall.

Women's Royal Rumble Match
The pay per view kicked off with second annual 30-woman Royal Rumble match, which began with the pair of Alexa Bliss (1) and Alicia Fox (2). As soon as the opening bell rang throughout Chase Field the two superstars collided in the very middle of the squared circle. From here the remaining field of twenty eight other female WWE Superstars made their respective way into and out of the opening contest. Majority of the field of potential winners was made up of superstars from Monday Night RAW and Tuesday Night Smackdown.

It also included superstars from NXT like Candice LeRae and Kairi Sane, from NXT UK like Isla Dawn and Rhea Ripley. In the end, it came down to two women who knew each other all too well in the forms of Becky Lynch (4) and Nia Jax (30). Only one of them could be crowned the winner of the match, and it would be "The Man" aka the former (Lynch) who ended up being victorious.

WWE Cruiserweight Championship

In the second match of the night, Buddy Murphy(c) put the WWE Cruiserweight Championship up for grabs against Hideo Itami. After just over thirteen minutes it reached it's conclusion by way of the defending champion getting the pinfall over the challenger following his Murphy's Law finisher.

WWE Smackdown Women's Championship

Next the WWE Universe was treated to a rematch from WrestleMania 34, as the "Empress of Tomorrow" Asuka(c). Defended the WWE Smackdown Women's Championship against the very superstar who defeated her at mania that being Charlotte Flair. The climax of the encounter saw a complete reversal of the result of the WrestleMania outing. As Asuka was able to escape the Figure Eight and eventually trap Flair in the Asuka Lock for the submission.

Back to back matches were women's championship gold was on the line, this time around the championship in question was the WWE RAW Women's Championship. As the "Rowdy" Ronda Rousey(c) found herself challenged by the fan favorite Sasha Banks. The pair of defending champion and number one contender went back and forth trading submission attempts and pinfalls for around fourteen minutes. It would turn out to be Rousey's night as she was able to rack up her first pinfall victory in a WWE ring when levelled her opponent with the Piper's Pit.

After that the WWE Championship took center stage as Daniel Bryan(c) attempted to fend off the "King of Strong Style" Shinsuke Nakamura in singles action. The thrilling first time ever meeting between the pair was an instant classic that could have gone either way and the WWE Universe wouldn't have been complaining. It's conclusion was rather sullied by the unseen interference of a returning Erick Rowan who laid Nakamura out at ringside and then rolled him into the ring, where Bryan pinned him.

WWE Universal Championship
Braun Strowman(c) VS Bray Wyatt
The penultimate match saw the "Monster Among Champions" Braun Strowman(c) have to come face to face with his past (Wyatt). In a one on one match where the entire Universe was on the line as Strowman defended the WWE Universal Championship. Despite being at a size disadvantage in comparison to his opponent, Wyatt was able to use his mind games to take control throughout the contest. Strowman managed to keep a grip on the title after he pinned his opponent after a trifecta of Running Powerslams.

The lights went out in the arena and when they came back on, Wyatt was gone but his maniacal laughter rung throughout the arena.






Men's Royal Rumble Match
Finally the event closed out with the 30-man Royal Rumble match for either a WWE or Universal Championship opportunity at WrestleMania 35. Kofi Kingston and Randy Orton began the match and would survive the entire duration of the main event to be the final two superstars in the ring. Before that happened though a total of twenty eight other men would make themselves known at regular intervals. Orton kicked Kingston below the belt and the backed up into one of the corners of the ring and yelled STUPID!!!!! Recreating that fateful moment all the way back in 2009, only this time Kingston would bounce back to his feet and level a shocked Orton with a Trouble in Paradise. From here Kingston dragged the fallen Orton up and proceeded to eliminate him to win the match.

A Shot at the Universe
In the aftermath of men's Royal Rumble winner Kofi Kingston deciding that he would be challenging for the WWE Championship at WrestleMania 35. This left the roll of number one contender to the WWE Universal Championship at the showcase of the immortals currently up in the air. Kurt Angle took to the ring on an episode of Monday Night RAW to make a match announcement which would have both Elimination Chamber and WrestleMania ramifications.

The match in question was an number one contender Elimination Chamber outing where the winner would earn a shot at the WWE Universal Championship at WrestleMania. Qualifying matches ensued with the likes of Dean Ambrose, Dolph Ziggler, Drew McIntyre, Finn Balor, Kevin Owens and Seth Rollins, defeating the likes of Apollo Crews, Baron Corbin, Elias, Jinder Mahal, Matt Hardy and Sami Zayn.




Rowdy Riott
Fresh off successfully retaining the WWE RAW Women's Championship against Sasha Banks at the Royal Rumble ppv. The current reigning champion that being "Rowdy" Ronda Rousey(c) didn't get any down time following the successful defense of the title. As she soon found herself in the crosshairs of the villainous trio of Ruby Riott, Liv Morgan and Sarah Logan aka the Riott Squad.

Who made it clear what they wanted a title shot, wanting to continue to build on her rep of being a fighting champion. Rousey laid down the challenge to Riott for a title shot at Elimination Chamber, adding she didn't care if Morgan and Logan were there.



Lashley Goes InZayn
On an episode of Monday Night RAW at the beginning of February 2019 the reigning WWE Intercontinental Champion. That being Bobby Lashley(c) faced off with a blast from the past in the form of the fan favorite Sami Zayn. Their feud from last year was reborn once again this time around it was under a non-title championship eliminator stipulation.

Meaning that if Zayn managed to get the win he would earn a future title shot, at a time of his choosing. Despite repeated unseen interference from Lashley's hype man Lio Rush at ringside, Zayn ended up getting the win by way of pinfall following a Blue Thunder Bomb, setting the title match in stone for Elimination Chamber. Monday Night RAW General Manager Kurt Angle added that Lio Rush would be banned from the title match.

Mod Note
The Lashley/Zayn feud from 2018 happened but none of the weird sister stuff was part of it.




A Roode Revival
The final championship match coming from Monday Night RAW for the co-branded WWE Elimination Chamber pay per view event. Revolved around the brand's tag team championship that being the WWE RAW Tag Team Championship.

As yet another old feud was revived as the reigning champions the pair of Bobby Roode and Chad Gable(c) found themselves force to contend with The Revival. After the duo of Dash Wilder and Scott Dawson managed to obtain a pair of victories over both champions in singles action on back to back editions of Monday Night RAW.

At the Royal Rumble pay per view the "King of Strong Style" that being Shinsuke Nakamura attempted to make history. In his first time ever singles encounter with Daniel Bryan(c) for the latter's WWE Championship. He would ultimately fail in his attempt to become the first ever Japanese WWE Champion, though through no fault on his part.

A returning Erick Rowan was the cause for Nakamura's failed attempt at history, after the match it became clear that Rowan was now working for the WWE Champion. In the weeks following the Royal Rumble ppv, Nakamura made it beyond obvious that he wasn't finished with the WWE Championship or Bryan or Rowan by a long shot.

Tuesday Night Smackdown General Manager Paige proceeded to lay down the law of the land and instead of making another title match between the two. She made a non-title tag team match for Elimination Chamber. With the added stipulation that if Nakamura was able to get the win over either Bryan or Rowan he would get another title shot at a time of his choosing.




The Empress, Enters the Chamber
Fresh off successfully retaining the WWE Smackdown Women's Championship at the Royal Rumble against her old foe Charlotte Flair. The current reigning champion, that being the "Empress of Tomorrow" Asuka(c) wanted to know what was the next challenge for to face. She had a meeting with TNS General Manager Paige to resolve the issue, Asuka stated she wanted to enter the Elimination Chamber.

Paige asked if she was sure about this goal? Asuka replied she was 100% committed to it, and the former proceeded to make qualifying matches for the purposed title match at the ppv. The qualifying matches saw the likes of Carmella, Charlotte Flair, Mandy Rose, Nikki Cross and Sonya Deville defeat Billie Kay, Lana, Naomi, Peyton Royce and Zelina Vega.





WrestleMania Opportunity - Men's
The pair of New Day leader Kofi Kingston and Randy Orton were the first two entrants into the 2019 men's Royal Rumble match. When it came down to the conclusion of the main event, the former would manage to getter the better of the latter to win the whole match. In doing so Kingston earned himself a shot at either the WWE or Universal Championship match at WrestleMania 35 of his choosing.

He would ultimately decide on challenging for the WWE Championship at the showcase of the immortals, Orton didn't like this and took it out on the rest of the New Day which enraged Kingston. He replied by beating Orton down on an episode of Tuesday Night Smackdown and stated he would see him at Elimination Chamber and it would be for the WrestleMania Opportunity.





WrestleMania Opportunity - Women's
"The Man" Becky Lynch entered the second ever women's Royal Rumble match as the fourth entrant, from here she made it to the final two. The other woman inside the squared circle with her? The very same woman who broke her face in the build to the Survivor Series 2018 ppv event. That being nonother than the ever imposing Nia Jax.

Who would find herself with the fired up Lynch and ultimately be eliminated by "The Man". Jax demanded another shot at the WrestleMania Opportunity, and Lynch had no problem with this and would kick her ass again at Elimination Chamber in a co-branded outing.

Bulgarian Open Challenge Continues
The first of two matches added to the Kickoff Show portion of the WWE Elimination Chamber ppv event. Came about with the reigning WWE United States Champion that being the "Bulgarian Brute" Rusev(c) who continued on with the Bulgarian Open Challenge.


Current Champion VS Founding Father
The second and final match for the Elimination Chamber ppv revolved around the WWE Cruiserweight Championship. As the reigning current champion Buddy Murphy(c) repeatedly proclaimed his own greatness and that he was the only man to hold the title to matter. He soon found himself face to face with one of the founding father's of Cruiserweight wrestling, that being the "Master of the 619" Rey Mysterio. Mysterio stated that he took issue with Murphy's proclamation and as a result asked for and was given a title shot by WWE management. ​

Kickoff Show
A pair of championship bouts made up the match card of the Elimination Chamber Kickoff Show, in the first the WWE Cruiserweight Championship. Was on the line as Buddy Murphy(c) defended the title against the "Master of the 619" Rey Mysterio in singles action. The challenger floored the champion with his trademark 619 finisher, then dragged him over to one of the corners of the ring and climbed to the top turnbuckle. From here Mysterio attempted to put an end to proceedings with a Frog Splash only for the fallen Murphy to get his knees up and grabbed his opponent and pinned him.

Following this the "Bulgarian Brute" Rusev(c) accompanied by his wife/manager Lana to host another Bulgarian Open Challenge for the WWE United States Championship. The superstar who ended up answering the challenge for the championship was revealed to be nonother than the "Samoan Submission Machine" Samoa Joe. The pair of behemoths went back and forth for around ten minutes and it culminated with the latter trapping his opponent in the Coquina Clutch and forcing him into unconscious.

Pay Per View
Elimination Chamber went live with a tag team outing which pitted Bobby Roode & Chad Gable(c) against the pair of Dash Wilder and Scott Dawson aka The Revival. For the formers WWE RAW Tag Team Championship, which culminated in the championship changing hands after Wilder got the pinfall over Roode following the Shatter Machine.


Next Bobby Lashley(c) had to contend with the onslaught from an old rival in the form of Sami Zayn in singles action. For the WWE Intercontinental Championship, in an encounter where the defending champion's hype man Lio Rush was banned from ringside. Despite a good showing from Zayn it just didn't turn out to be his night to win some championship gold. As some unseen interference from Cedric Alexander in favor of Lashley who then was able to tear his opponent in half with a Spear for the win.


In the third match, "The Man" Becky Lynch faced off with one half of the Samoan Slaughterhouse tag team in the form of Nia Jax. This wasn't just a regular women's division single's match by any means, it had potential WrestleMania 35 ramifications, as Lynch was attempting to defend her title opportunity. That she won by eliminating Nia Jax at the climax of the second ever women's Royal Rumble match back at the titular pay per view event. After a trifecta of Manhandle Slams from Lynch she was able to silence Jax's complaints about her (Lynch's) rumble victory being a fluke.


Then six women entered the brutal and barbaric Elimination Chamber structure to do battle over the WWE Smackdown Women's Championship. Reigning champion (Asuka) started the match with Sonya Deville, then following this the likes of the rest of field made their respective way into the fray. With the final spot going to the ever calculating Charlotte Flair who had a bone to pick with the "Empress of Tomorrow". In the end, Flair took full advantage of a damn near exhausted Asuka and rolled her up with a handful of tights for a the final elimination of the contest.


After that, Kofi Kingston(c) attempted to defend his WrestleMania Opportunity against the vindictive "Apex Predator" Randy Orton in a heated singles match. Kingston was obviously still pissed off given that Orton had taken out both Big E and Xavier Woods to get this match with him. Despite this he would manage to keep a cool head and persevere to defeat Orton with the S.O.S.


Next Shinsuke Nakamura joined forces with an old rival in the form of the "Phenomenal" AJ Styles to face WWE Champion Daniel Bryan and his henchman Erick Rowan. If Nakamura was the man to get the deciding pinfall or submission, he would be granted another title shot where Rowan would be banned. The final minutes of the match saw Nakamura get some revenge over Rowan with the Kinshasa.

The penultimate match saw Ronda Rousey(c) successfully retain the WWE RAW Women's Championship. Against the leader of the stable named after herself that being Ruby Riott accompanied by the other members of the stable. After the match the Riott Squad attempted to attack Rousey only for a steel chair wielding Becky Lynch to make the save.


Elimination Chamber closed with the number one contender Elimination Chamber to determine the next challenger for the WWE Universal Championship. It featured the field of competition made up of Dean Ambrose, Dolph Ziggler, Drew McIntyre, Finn Balor, Kevin Owens and Seth Rollins. Owens eliminated McIntyre, Ziggler got rid of him, Rollins eliminated Dean Ambrose, finally Balor managed to away with both Ziggler and Rollins to win the whole thing.

WWE Hall of Famer and General Manager of Monday Night RAW Kurt Angle announced on the post-Elimination Chamber edition of MNR. Angle concluded the segment by revealing that Strowman versus McIntyre would be for the WWE Universal Championship, while the showdown between Balor and Joe. Would not only be for Balor's number one contendership but also Joe's WWE United Stated Championship.




WrestleMania Opponents, Join Forces
