Is anticipation of PPVs so low that now-a-days that they don't even warrant their own thread? :sad:

(Same as Turning Point in the TNA section....)

I know we've had all the bitching about the title matches in one thread or another, but beyond that IMO the card looks pretty solid for a SSeries.


....Seeing as we're mere days away, what ARE your thoughts?



What ya looking forward to?

What do you see happening in some/all of the matches?

Expecting some kind of swerve somewhen?

If Kane comes out hits Jericho then taker or who ever there is going to be a dq right? Im just thinking outside of the box so to speak. Instead of the same old i think taker will win etc. Kane is going to have soemthing to do with the outcome of the match up.

I'll answer my own question then.... NEVER.



The logic put very simply in the form of another question:

If A, B & C are having a match and D comes down ringside and hits A with a chair... Who get's DQ'd?


Alternatively, watch the SD triple threat from last year that included HHH, Edge, Jeff & Kozlov (Can't recall which one wasn't officially in the match, but that part's irrelevant).


Aaaaaanyway, my predictions:

Taker/Jericho/Big Show - Big Show knocks Taker out and Jericho steals the win.

Cena/HBK/HHH - Not much at play here besides them trying to recreate WM20 without Benoit. ...I think RR will be where the DX split finally starts to materialise.

Batista/Rey - Via ref-stoppage due to a defenseless Mysterio.

Team Kofi v Team Orton - Not sure about this one really.... Either Orton eliminated by Kofi early-ish via roll-up or schoolboy and Kofi survives or the same thing with Ted & Cody being the sole survivors thus making Orton look inferior to his comrades.... But I'll go with Kofi winning becasue I don't expect him to ultimately come out on top of this fued.

Team Morrison/Team Miz - Too many fresh heels to get over here... Not saying it won't happen, but to job that lot out too Finlay, Matt & CT would be insane! ...Plus we all know what Miz "is". ;o]

Team Mickie/Team McCool - Token face win here.

The other two guys? Or it goes to a non contest. Look im just trying to think of a way for kane to make a difference in the outcome. Unless he attacks one of the three without the referee seeing it. And there is a very strong guess that taker will keep the title at survivor series, but something bad always happens to taker at survivor series. Im just thinking he retains then gets attacked or attacked during match.

You and I have very different ideas of what a "prediction" is... (Which somewhat explains why I've been baffled by a bunch of your "predictions" today).

That said, feel free to answer my question as to whether you've EVER seen a DQ in a triple threat match.... I'm not out of the proverbial 'woods' of befuddlement on that one yet. lol

Triple Threat matches are NOT billed as "No DQ "the majority of the time.

It's just an unspoken thing because a DQ in a triple threat match MAKES NO LOGICAL SENSE (unless you're talking a guy directly getting himself DQ'd and let's face it that's never been seen on a WWE screen either).

TBH I'm hoping for HBK to go heel on HHH and ultimately cost him the match. For some reason this seems logical (even though breaking up DX is something that's never been done... when they are together I mean)

As far as the WHC match... I see Taker somehow coming out on top of this one. Y2J and Big Slow fighting it out while Taker is out on the mat, Slow throws Y2J out of the ring, Taker sits up, blah blah, does a tombstone somehow and wins it that way

Survivor Series is actually picking up - I am looking forward to this PPV.

Cena/HBK/HHH - This will be the main event. HBK will win: Cena with the attempted Attitude Adjuster to HBK but HBK slips off while Trips kicks Cena in the belly and goes for the Pedigree, HBK SCM to Trips, Cena again for the AA and HBK slips off again right into SCM and we have a new champ, the scene on Raw is looking fresh, Cena is not champ and we get HBK with his final rin as champ.

Taker, Jericho, Show - Jericho wins this. Show knocks out Taker, Kane comes down and attacks Show, Jericho thinks he is about to get the cheap win when....Edge comes out, crowd goes bananas, they think Edge will take out Jericho....but the swerve, Edge spears Taker, Jericho looks amazed, Jericho pins Taker, Jericho celebrates, Edge hits the Edgecution (sp?) on Jericho and stands over Jericho ("your days are numbered")

Team Orton over Team Kofi - Ted, Cody and Randy left with Kofi, Kofi tries to eliminate them but it is too much and Ted gets the pinfall (or Kofi actually eliminates Randy and Ted gets the pin on Kofi)

Team Miz will not lose a guy vs. team Morrison.

Team micki......Ah - who cares. I'll be in the bathroom for this, I can for sure predict that.

Not just me thinking along these lines then.... I stopped just short of predicting that myself. Plus, the more 'ammo' they give Miz the better.... Captaining his team to a perfect victory.. Bring it on! ...I want him to win MITB... Imagine the heat he can get strutting round with that briefcase for the entire year!?!?!?

If the show pans out like you predict I'll be well chuffed... HBK as WWE champ would be epic!

I can see hbk hitting both SCM on cena and trips and he falls on top of both of them. Then we have the did he mean to pin hhh thing? Then the slow build starts. With cena dropping in and out it.

I honestly would see HHH turining on HBK before the other way around. It would be far more likely (even though I am sure neither will happen) especially since Trips was the one to attack Horny and HBK was kind of thrown off.
