NXT's Odyssey Jones looks to be facing an extended period of time out of action.
During tonight's NXT, it was said that Jones has undergone successful surgery for a ruptured patellar tendon. NXT commentator Vic Joseph said Jones will probably be able to make his return to the ring this fall.
Jones was injured two weeks ago while filming a match against Saurav for 205 Live. The match was stopped and didn't end up airing due to Jones' injury
Jones was on crutches and wearing a knee brace when he appeared on last week's NXT. There was an angle on the show where he was attacked backstage by Harland after getting into a confrontation with Harland and Joe Gacy.
Jones (real name Omari Palmer) signed with WWE in 2019. He was formerly a college football player at Syracuse University.
Last year, Jones made it to the finals of NXT's Breakout Tournament before losing to Carmelo Hayes.
