So Jay Lethal has challeged any and all legends to an open invitational challenge. On last weeks iMPACT, Jim Neidhart was the 1st to answer the challenge and he beat Lethal. This is (I'm asumming) a weekly thing that will go on for sometime.

Now when they originally annouced this, I was thinking this would be some type of push for Lethal to beat the legends every week... well that's not off to a good start.

But then I got to thinking, maybe this will be a way for Lethal to drop the Black Machismo character. He goes on a losing streak against these Legends, they laugh at him, call him a joke, he starts getting more and more pissed off to the point where out goes Machismo in comes Lethal.

So what are your thoughts on Lethal's open challenge?

He should be beat every week. They're legends. He'll lose to all of them except for the last one, which will be the biggest of them all. He'll lose to all the crappy guys (Neidhart, Nasty Boys, those kinda guys), but then win the big one. Well, at least that would make sense.

I know everyone is shitting on him losing to Neidhart, but I figure the plan is that he's going to lose against all of the legends until he finally snaps and ditches Black Machismo. Not the worst way to get rid of the gimmick tbh.

When you're losing to fat, out of shape wrestlers, yeah it is. Not to mention he's not even putting up much of a fight. If it was a hard fought battle I'd maybe give the idea the benefit of the doubt but it wasn't, it was a two minute squash.

Not to mention it pretty much makes everyone Lethal beats look bad by comparison. It's just poor writing.

Jay Lethal is a jobber, at least as Black Machismo. He's supposed to lose to everyone, no matter how shitty and old they are.

Black Machismo is a horrible character. Hopefully, he loses to Savage or something at the end, and claims he's sick of being Black Machismo, cuts the crap and snaps on Savage.

See the problem is that when he started doing the Black Machismo character, he was over and it was entertaining for the first little bit. Now that he's a full on jobber and has been doing this act for months and months on end, nobody cares anymore.

All of this is meaningless because in order to pull of an angle like this you need to have some kind of momentum going for him in the first place.

Shit gimmick... If this is the begining of the end of Black Machismo then good.

I was routing for Neidhart to start with and I hope that these losses continue to come from other such scrapings from the proverbial 'barrel'.

As MS says, 'wreckless' storyline too cos these losses relfect badly on all the guys Lethal has gone over.

He'll lose to Savage in a "for gimmick infringement court papers"
