-- Last week's edition of Impact drew a 1.13 cable rating, down from the previous week's 1.17 number. Both shows drew an estimated 1.6 million viewers.

Ratings tumbled during the second hour as the first hour averaged a 1.16 rating whereas the second hour drew a 1.10.

The broadcast's ratings were dragged down by the final two segments of the show as the last half-hour averaged a 1.04 rating, which included TNA President Dixie Carter's first appearance on Impact (alongside Bobby Lashley) and the main event six-man tag match of AJ Styles, Sting and Hernandez vs. The Main Event Mafia.

As per usual, the Knockouts drew the strongest ratings of the show. Though the number was not released, the highest-rated quarter-hour of the program was in an unusual spot in the third quarter hour. The 9:30 to 9:45 p.m. portion of the show featured Awesome Kong and Raisha Saeed vs. Traci Brooks and Sharmell in a Knockouts Tag Team Championship Tournament match. Additionally, Hamada's debut in TNA was a success as her match with Daffney helped draw a 1.20 rating in the fifth quarter-hour, with a 1.12 for the match's conclusion in the sixth.

-- As reported earlier, former WWE wrestler Kevin Thorn wrestled a dark match at Tuesday's night Impact taping in Orlando, losing to Kip James. He went under the name "Serpent" in his trial match.

-- For those of those of you who miss Don West, you can see him promote ShopTNA.com's Labor Day Sale at their site.

Yeah 1.13 is a HUGE compared to 1.17

of course if flopped. the entire TNA Impact Preview was all Dixie, Dixie, Dixie. It was worse then when WWE promotes the return to tv of Vince when he's been off tv for awhile. And she's not even an on air character. It was funny during her interview on the LAW last week she said she didn't want to be one, but was promoted as if she was, but then added that part of her job is to make big announcements and do it live in front of the crowd, yet her appearence was pre-taped and all she announced was the deal with Spike that they already announced on the web site and that Lashley would face Rhino at the PPV which no one gives a shit about.

It was the most lack luster segment that got one of the biggest build ups and promotions they have ever given for an Impact.

Kevin Thorn should drop the "kvlt" gimmick unless he's going to do it correctly. Hell Vampiro couldn't even do it correctly. If he's going to do it right, he needs to have Black Metal music for his entrance music, wear corpse paint and Burzum T shirts to the ring.

true enough...however again if they wanted it to boost ratings maybe they should have made it an in ring appearence and made an announcement the fans would actually care about and was actually new news.

Agreed. Bobby Lashley is abominable at talking, he's awful, Dixie Carter is decent but to build excitement with two people lacking in charisma they needed to bring this out to the ring. Having Rhyno randomly made no sense, to me it would've been better to do it in the ring and have Rhyno come out and antagonise Bobby, then the match at No Surrender would make sense.

They executed this badly, simple as.

But it's not a flop, just more the usual inconsistency that Impact has sticking around 1.1 - 1.2

The fact that the rating went down for the segment which TNA built as so majorly important is what makes it a flop.
