Doesn’t exist anymore. When the previous forum it was on shutdown, I missed the notification weeks earlier, so I didn’t get to save any of my work. There’s nothing saved from that project unfortunately.
There was some fun stuff. HBK formed an alliance with the McMahon's and called themselves the Heartbreak Foundation. He beat Cena for the WWE Title at New Year's Revolution and turned heel. The build to Mania was going to be Cena battling that group and end up with HBK vs. Cena for the WWE Title at Mania 22 with Stone Cold as the special guest referee.
My favourite angle resolves around the Royal Rumble that I wrote. John Cena, having lost the WWE Title (he was offered the spot as being the corporate champion, which he declined but HBK accepted, thus the title change) was denied entry into the Rumble. He was told that the spots were all filled BUT if he could get a superstar from Raw to give up their spot, he'd be allowed entry. Thus, turning the Raw roster against him and isolating Cena from the rest of the locker room and potential alliances in his war with the Heartbreak Foundation. I had a few weeks of Cena asking faces for their spots, and some segments where a heel would offer but then laugh and say it was a joke. Going into the PPV, Cena had not secured a spot and it was being played off that he had no hope. Nobody would give up their spot in the Rumble, their chance at a main event for him. At the Royal Rumble PPV, Edge (MITB holder) cashed in and defeated Batista for the World Title from Smackdown. Edge had declared for the Rumble as a Raw superstar. When the Rumble happened later that same night, Triple H was the first entrant. Then, John Cena's music hit for #2. Cut backstage, Mr. McMahon is losing his mind saying that nobody would have given up their spot for Cena and that this was bullshit. Cena squared up and held up an entry number that said #2 and "Edge" written on it. Since Edge was now a World Champion, he was ineligible to compete in the Royal Rumble, and therefore his spot was now open, and Cena was claiming it as his own. Cena entered the Rumble and lasted to around the final four before Michaels screwed him over by rushing down to the ring.
Off the back of that, Randy Orton won the Rumble. He was in a big storyline with Teddy Long on Smackdown about being overlooked or screwed over by Teddy's bad decisions as a GM. He was the #30 entrant because he was the Sole Survivor at Survivor Series in brand warfare. After winning the Rumble, Orton declared he wanted his title match NOT at Mania but at No Way Out. He did this because he didn't trust Teddy Long and thought that if he held out to Mania, Teddy might make a decision that cost him the title shot or something to that affect. At NWO, Edge defeated Orton after the match was restarted by orders of Teddy Long. Orton had hit the RKO, pinned Edge but Edge's foot was on the rope and the ref missed it. This led into Mania, Orton lost an immediate rematch on Smackdown. He then lost a MITB qualifier match. The story for Orton was that he had won the 2006 Rumble but with weeks away from the big event, had no match at WrestleMania. He ended up entering a pre-show battle royal to fill a final spot in the MITB ladder match. Orton then went onto win MITB becoming the first man to win both the Royal Rumble and MITB in the same year. Post Mania, he was drafted to Raw. He would then go on to win King of the Ring (earning a WWE Title match) whilst still holding MITB. He would then lose a Triple Threat at SummerSlam with Cena & Angle, but cash-in MITB on Raw the following night to become WWE Champion.
Batista won a triple threat at No Way Out also involving 'Taker and JBL to become the number one contender for the World Title on Smackdown. He ended up facing Edge at WrestleMania 22 and lost in the co-main event.
Mysterio faced Eugene at WrestleMania 22. Eugene was traded to Smackdown by Bischoff because he was sick of his nephew being around. On his debut on Smackdown, Eugene bumped into Fit Finlay, who then proceeded to beat the shit out of him. Mysterio would make the save and enter a quick 4 week feud with Fit Finlay leading into No Way Out. At the PPV, Finlay won when Eugene "accidentally" hit Mysterio with a steel chair. The chair had been a key part of the story as Finlay had hit Eugene with one in the previous weeks. Post match. Eugene pretended to help Rey up, apologising for the mistake, before turning heel and smashing him with the chair. The following Smackdown, Eugene had a video package play where he shaved his head, put on new gear and burnt the name tag 'Eugene' to disown the gimmick. He would be rebranded as Nick Dinsmore, he wore black trunks with black boots, had a towel ie an old school wrestler and used the Gotch Piledriver as his finish. He called Rey a phony and that he hid behind a mask, the same way Nick had hid behind the mask of Eugene to make it to the WWE, but now he was free to be who he really was. They'd wrestle at Mania, Mysterio would go over but lose the rematch at the following PPV for Smackdown setting up a third match.
The Undertaker faced Booker T at WrestleMania. In the build to No Way Out, The Undertaker accidentally knocked Sharmell off the ring apron during a big brawl in the main event involving like eight guys. Booker T didn't comment on it at the time but during the PPV, he screwed 'Taker out of the triple threat to become number one contender for the World Title. The storyline was that Booker T felt he was in the right for what he did because 'Taker bumped into his wife. 'Taker was pissed about being screwed out of a title shot (remembering he was involved in the MITB cash in as well) so it was twice in 1 month for the dead man. Taker would win at Mania 22 (obvs).
Kurt Angle faced Shawn Michaels at SNME during the build to Mania and fell short of becoming WWE Champion. He would enter MITB that year as the clear favourite, but lose out to Orton. He'd stay around the main event when he faced Cena later that year at Vengeance for the title, and go into a triple threat at SummerSlam between Cena (champ) and Orton as I said in the other post. Never got the belt though.
The Heartbreak Foundation dissolved post-Mania as Michaels would lose at Backlash - failing to regain the WWE Title even with McMahon assistance. That turned him into a loose canon and he superkicked Shane on a Raw and split from the group. It was only ever going to be a big Mania angle so the group lasted from January-May. Quick 5 month run overall.
