I'm totally fine staying with 12 teams at the moment. I mean, why add four more spots now, since it's been two seasons being 12 teams? It's too soon and I don't want them to expand anytime soon.

Continuing with 12 teams is okay. Even though I'd prefer 8, I accept it won't happen. This, on the other hand, is ridiculous.

"The Power 4 conference champions will be guaranteed spots in the 12-team field, along with the highest-ranked conference champion from the Group of 6, which now includes the new-look Pac-12. Notre Dame will also be a lock for the playoff if it finishes in the selection committee's top 12."

Given how much of an advantage the big conferences and Notre Dame have built into the system, they don't need rules written specifically to help them. This why I despise both the SEC's 16 team proposal and the Big 10's 24 team proposal: they both boil down to "we get more."

Okay, Pac 12, you have my attention. I don't think any other conference could do this, but this 8 team conference is small enough to make meaningful matchups in what is usually rivalry week.

TLDR: People are really getting pissed off over this Brendan Sorsby business. Sorsby was banned from playing by the NCAA after being caught betting on games, including some of his own. A judge issued an injunction against the NCAA, allowing Sorsby to play for Texas Tech. A few ADs have already said that they won't play Texas Tech in anything and others as well as conferences are expected to make similar moves soon.

If this kid plays football, the NCAA better reinstate all of the wins and national titles they took away from other programs over the years because of "improper benefits". I just find it funny that HE is suing the NCAA for violations HE caused. Like was in the house rehab thing of his own doing or did the school tell him to do it to sweep it under the rug.

This is ridiculous. Imagine being threatened by the state govt because you're trying to punish a team thats reinstating a kid that was banned for GAMBLING
