With Josh Alexander requiring surgery, MLP will be crowning an interim MLP Canadian Heavyweight Champion tonight:

Jonathan Gresham vs. Psycho Mike vs. Stu Grayson vs. Rich Swann vs. Rohan Raja vs. Steve Maclin

If reports are true tho that Maclin is injured, he may not be able to appear tonight.
Not to excited about any of them choices...so uh go Gresham? I guess.

I probably actually will probably have to find it somewhere afterwards. Gonna focus on the Braves game tonight.

Gresham is the biggest favorite for this Interim title run, I guess... but honestly, why not give it to Stu

I finished watching both shows the other night. Production was very good, so was commentary. I thought that Global Wars was the better show, my favourite match Lethal Twist vs Gujjar/Mike/Uno. Not a single bad match on the card. The TV deal announcement is pretty sick. "MLP Mayhem" is a great name, and it seems like TSN is a huge network (they air AEW apparently).

I thought that Uprising was decent. Slightly heavy on random tag matches. Dorada/Gujjar vs Clark/Crist was quite fun. Good Brothers vs Jean/Banks was surprisingly good, with a shocking finish. Main event was very good. I like that they had a story weaved throughout both nights to set up Grayson winning the interim title (though I don't like that it's an interim reign and not a real one). The shot of Grayson celebrating in the crowd was awesome. Also, minor nitpick - Gresham's entrance video still has his first name spelt wrong lol.

Overall, a very successful weekend for MLP.

I think long-term, the interim reign is meant to set up a main event feud between Josh Alexander and Stu Grayson once Alexander comes back from injury.

In that case I think Stu should win so he can actually be MLP's Ace.

It's not like they're the end of the world but there's just never been an example where I thought an interim title made anything more enjoyable than the champ vacating and a new one officially being crowned lol whether in UFC or wrestling. I hate that Tony and now Scott, my two favorite bookers insist on them :lol
