People tip toe around criticizing women's wrestlers for things that they would gladly yell to the high heavens about if it were a male wrestler. It absolutely could be the cause of poor booking or lack of opportunity, but at this stage of the game, Willow should be foot on the gas becoming one of the best wrestlers in the world (male/female). In the past year and a half has she had great feuds? is there matches that stand out? and has she improved from where she was when she started off as one of the hottest signings AEW has had organically?
While I won't speak to people being toxic about her or turning on her in a personal/disrespectful manner, I think it's perfectly acceptable to hope that she continues to improve and doesn't stagnate in a way that she kinda has been for about a year now. Doesn't mean she has to turn heel or change character, I just want to see something hit gear 3 with her and I feel like she's stayed in the same gear for a bit.
