I thought this was a solid go home show, it hyped everything it needed to. When you're posting shows once every six months, you need to be a little more descriptive with your writing. In the opening promo, when you say Sonya is standing with her team, how am I supposed to remember who is in her team lol? You need to tell me.

With that being said, Big E is a more than fine addition to Team Adam. The hype for this SS match throughout the night was fine. I think I most interested in what Kevins Owens does, and I have to say that Seth/Ricochet segment might be one of the most interesting things I've read from you in general. That moving in the shadows line from Seth was fire.

I'm not big on Shelton's position potentially being at risk. Piggybacking off what Shelton said, they've only just got together. This sort of thing doesn't work for me, unless they've had time as a group to build success, and then have some inner tensions. This just feels weird and out of place.

The Rhea/Charlotte feud was pretty good on this show for the most part. 2 out of 3 falls and Charlotte's reasoning works, and I absolutely loved the awesome dressing room that Flair had.

Dijakovic push is off to a really strong start. I'm looking forward to seeing what you do with him.

I'm intrigued by the vignette here to. The guitar makes me think Elias, but I'm uncertain on the other two. Curious.

And Lashley beating down Keith Lee after his victory was a fine way to build more heat there. Weird there was no acknowledgement from any of the Shelton stuff earlier though.

I think this was a solid go home show. Booking wise for the most part things are heading in the right direction, just The Hurt Business stuff that felt a bit off here.

It's good to see a show from you again after so long. I enjoyed the last bit of Edge/Kross hype here. I like this feud because it ultimately feels really fresh. The swerve use of Corbin here, (set up brilliantly with last week's attack on Corbin) to open up Edge to the attack from Kross was really well done. Nice work.

DHS getting a win on his first night back in the WWE had to happen. I feel like Ziggler is a good choice as well, as he's not to high on the totem pole at the minute, but still a champion and a 'name'. I'm expecting big things from DHS in here if this is anything to go by.

The Deville/Pearce teams stuff was solid enough tonight, with Rollins/Owens somehow getting their shit together long enough to win. Mayhem afterwards was the sensible way to go for a go home show. My issue is more in the sense that in my opinion, this just feels so out of place on a Summerslam card, with Survivor Series not all that far away. This feels like the perfect match/feud for Survivor Series, whether it be War Games or traditional Survivor Series elimination match.

Shocked that Natalya beat Yim. Based on the dodgy ending, seems we'll get another match between these two which is fine for Yim.

The Roman/Cena stuff throughout the night was enjoyable. love Cena stealing the title to shoehorn himself into the picture at Summerslam. Whilst it's the same match as in real life, feel like you booked it different enough here to still make it fun.

Women's hype with Sasha's interview was fine, whilst Belair getting some ring time with Liv due to MITB I guess adds some suspense.

And Apollo/Nak is what it is. Two underwhelming guys at this point, and I don't feel I have a current reason to really care. Not necessarily your fault since the BTB hasn't been going long, but this feud is very meh.

A solid go home show. Looking forward to you and your partner FINALLY delivering Summerslam.

◘ Bah gawd Jammy Khan, a $50,000 match to kick off the night! I do actually enjoy this set up for a lumberjack match (of sorts). I enjoy the internal politics of Rollins not putting himself forward. I like it when it's not a clear heel/face divide in a brand war storyline, as it makes it feel more dimensional. I do feel like there was a potential missed opportunity to keep Big E's reveal a secret until they announced him as Otis' opponent. I think it would have created a moment that would've encapsulated the segment nicely. Nonetheless, the set-up worked.

◘ I think I've said it before but I will say again - please bring back some form of match header. I think this show was clearer, but when you've got multiple people speaking into segments in red, then match summaries in red, it can all start to blend into one.

◘ Of course Mr MITB won the match. I like that there was some outside interference but nothing too chaotic that took away from the match. Also, a win for what is essentially the Raw team makes sense. I've also just realised I don't seem to have made a Pearce/Deville roster graphic?

◘ I have to agree with Shelton Benjamin! I think The Hurt Business felt really important when they were in action, but it was cut off far too soon. I like the mental powerplay of MVP here, trying to plant seeds of doubt for the main event. I also found it interesting how Benjamin appeared to submit to this, showing he wants to be part of THB.

◘ Interesting women's tag team match, not the result I was expecting but I'm certainly not disappointed. I hate, hate, HATE the Nikki A.S.H gimmick - it never felt like there was any reason for it, or any commitment to it when you look at The Hurricane's gimmick. I am a fan of the Nikki/Piper pairing and also felt like they could have done more with it in real life. Nia and Shayna, despite being former champions, just felt thrown together and I'd much rather see them in the singles division.

◘ I enjoyed the Dana/Rhea interview, it gave Brooke a much needed opportunity to show some personality and also react to Mandy's betrayal. I also really like the match stipulation hanging above Rhea's head, but her showing that she'll take on Flair in any stipulation.

◘ I love the rebuild of Dijakovic on the main roster. I continue to look forward to seeing where you go with this.

◘ I appreciate you giving Jinder's stable an opportunity to have a moment. RK-Bro racking up an expected win, adding fuel to their momentum for SummerSlam.

◘ Have Charlotte and Mandy poached Reggie the sommelier? I think it would have been cool to have a reference to Charlotte and Dana's early alliance when Mandy was justifying her reasons for turning on her. I missed the stipulation reveal initially, but also like the choice to go down this route - one, because it's not often used, and two, it's a nice way to up the ante without having to go hardcore or too gimmicky. BIG statement made in the actual match with Mandy pinning the champion (as opposed to Dana). I'm enjoying the partnership of Charlotte and Mandy, but I'm sensing it might not last long.

◘ I always enjoy an ominous vignette. I think Elias (I think we can safely assume that's who is it) could have done so much more outside of his comedy gimmick. I hope that you can atone him with this new stable.

◘ This next match is where I feel like the show would benefit from match headers. I couldn't work out whether it was six-man tag, or a tag match, and who was competing between Sheamus, Styles, and Omos. I assume based on the finish it was Sheamus and Styles against Hardy and Priest (who sound good as a team on paper). I'm intrigued to see how you handle Priest, given that this is pre-Judgement Day, which was a massive part of his career.

◘ Rollins trying to turn Ricochet into a saboteur was unique. Perhaps would've been best served without the live cameras.

◘ Given the build of non-Bearcat Ketih Lee in this project, I do think there was perhaps a missed opportunity to showcase him somehow before the match - especially because him beating Shelton would damage THB and potentially throw them off course ahead of the SummerSlam match. Separately, it makes complete sense for Lee to win, but I am gutted Shelton is out of the group....or is he given the post-match attack? I was half expecting one of the chairs to be used on him. Lashley reasserting his dominance in a big way. I would love Lee to get his moment, and I don't really see how it could go any other way, but you really sold that attack!

◘ I love the countdown feel to SummerSlam in the opening of the show.

◘ Also, I now feel like I didn't make roster images for Pearce/Deville because they're technically dual branded until the SummerSlam match decides who stays in power.

◘ It feels so bizarre to see VKM's name referenced.

◘ I really enjoyed the fake-out in the opening promo. Edge's aggression showing that Kross has unnerved him, Scarlett getting a moment to shine and then the Corbin reveal and attack from Kross. While I did exile him from NXT, I am a big Kross fan, and I love how you've presented his gimmick and made him feel big time from the start of his main roster run.

◘ David Hart Smith's return that never was will always be a point of intrigue for me. Just to echo Stojy's comments, I feel like Ziggler was the perfect opponent for him. I can only imagine Roode might be his next opponent as he cements his place on the roster.

◘ As I said in the Raw review, I like the tension amongst the teams. Given the loss, it makes sense for their to be trouble in Deville's camp. Following Sonya's deferral on Monday, I'm glad she took charge here and didn't cast Owens out the team. While that might have been interesting, I'm sure there's more fun to be had by having these two power kegs in the same match.

◘ I was also surprised to have Mia Yim lose so soon, but it wasn't a clean finish. I like the idea of Nattie using every trick in the book and matching Mia's energy to outsmart her, rather than a typical plucky babyface finish. I don't know if the HBIC is going to buddy up to take on the Fortunate Daughters but I'm all for new women's tag teams.

◘ I love The Bloodline interactions, Reigns just treating Jimmy and Jey as his underlings, and Heyman just reduced to a blithering butler. As I said before, this was such a blueprint of WWE's storytelling, so I'm interested to see what path you take with this. I also liked the commentary to put over what a big deal Cena's return is.

◘ Thanks for the High Stakes plug!

◘ I like that Liv is in action this week, and not in a speaking role. Bianca evening the odds against her own potential opponent, further pushes her as this super babyface. A nice little stare-down to bring things to a close. Sasha's interview felt like it reinforced the risk of the MITB briefcase come SummerSlam.

◘ Big challenge from Cena, although I think it would have been cool to have him appear in person with the championship, just because he's all about the fans. Massive match, which has me wondering whether you'll go down a different route and potentially give Cena the W (and the title)? This felt like a big segment, that I almost forgot about the main event itself.

◘ I can't remember how over (or not) Nakamura was at this time but I've always been a fan of him. Do I think he could do with some legitimising - aka, not being flanked by Boogz? Of course. I also think this period was the last time Apollo Crews was relevant. I will always champion bookers doing something different with underutilised talent, and I think despite a limited roster (which could be changed in the SSU), you've done well in carving out something for nearly everyone to be involved in.

◘ Small gripe from me, but given that we literally saw Rollins try and bribe Ricochet backstage on Raw, I would have liked to have some mystery added to it - whether that was Team Deville speculating on whether Ricochet would take the deal, McIntyre questioning his integrity as they head into the match, or even just some commentary as Ricochet and McIntyre arrived into the arena. Maybe the mystery is whether O'Shay will do anything at SummerSlam itself and I've just misinterpreted it for this match, but I would have liked some paranoia within Team Pearce.

◘ Echoing the home-team winning on their go-home show, this felt right, even with Owens and Rollins at loggerheads. I also like this big finale moment, with security having to intervene.

You guys overdelivered with the kick off show. It was very impressive. I'm a detail orientated guy so I just loved the work put into the commentary throughout. It really flowed like an actual WWE kick off show, yet it didn't feel to bogged down like it was a difficult read or to much commentary. I just think you both hit the nail on the head in terms of writing really well here.

Tozawa trying to check the 24/7 title into the hotel safe was a great moment for sure, and I'm assuming now he's on the run, we might see more of this at Summerslam, or on Raw the following night.

Tag Title match was solid enough as well, with Nattie and Tamina picking up the impressive win. No issues.

A nice little teaser of what's to come and if this is any indication, Summerslam is really going to deliver... No pressure, folks

Firstly, I have to agree with Stojy, this was a super kick-off show which bodes well for the full show (I hope!) It did a great job of mirroring the format of the usual WWE pre-shows with the dialogue for the panel seemingly particularly on point with each person coming through clearly. The flow of the show was also pretty good, logical and smooth, moving from each section nicely.

The individual sections were highly enjoyable. The Tag Team title match was a solid match for the pre-show and the booking of the finish was strong with Natalya unselfishly tagging Tamina in to secure the victory with her own call back to her family. The pre-tape piece with Tozawa attempting to check in the 24/7 Title into the safe was creative and a funny light-hearted moment that suits the title. You have a lot of options with the 24/7 title to make it fun and chaotic so looking forward to reading more.

It’s took me a couple of days to catch on this thread, but you all seem to be doing a grand job so far and I look forward to the first PPV, and for Jam’s first BTB PPV ever!

◘ I agree with the previous comments around the format and flow of the show. It depends on the reader, but I prefer when a pre-show is used to hype the main show and elevate the stars that feature on it. It's such a good way to foreshadow, hype, etc., and this did a really good job.

◘ A small continuity error - High Stakes hasn't taken place yet. SummerSlam was on the Saturday and High Stakes was the Sunday but I'm sure I'm the only person who would have called that out.

◘ I love the dividers, and also the use of images throughout just to add to establish scenes, break up text.

◘ I really love playing into the theme and theatre of Las Vegas with the prospect of Tozawa trying to stow away the 24/7 Championship. I think the title can be more successful in writing because it adds a bit of silliness and camp in a sea of seriousness and high stakes. That being said, I would love to see the belt go in a completely different direction, just to see what opportunities that could provide.

◘ I would have liked to have seen a bit more of a discussion around the WWE Women's Tag title match before it started. I know that it hasn't been a blood feud, but something that could up the ante a bit.

◘ I like the character moment of Nattie giving (Nobody Meaner Than) Tamina the finish. I actually really liked this tag team, because they have paralells with each other, but also if they weren't doing this than they'd like be doing nothing else. I know the women's tag division is a little bit scarce at the moment, but I'd be happy to see Nattie and Tamina continue to develop during the interim.

◘ Great way to round off with the final rundown of matches. Nice way to give your readers a refresh of what to expect without having to read back all the shows. Now LFG with SummerSlam!

◘ I nearly missed this because things have been so active around here! My apologies. Following on from a stellar Kick-Off Show, there's a bit of pressure to keep the momentum going. Let's see how you both got on...

◘ I liked the commentary and the "hottest party of the summer" stuff, but it would have been gone to get more of a build of what's to come. A shot of Lashley walking backstage, or Team Pearce/Deville talking tactics. That being said, you did just do a solid job promoting the matches on the Kick-Off, so I'll forgive you for not wanting to be repetitive.

◘ I have probably said before, but I'm intrigued to see how you both handle your tag team divisions. I would argue Deco got the better end of the stick with SmackDown, but as a whole, I think both divisions were struggling in real-life even until recent years (and I'd still argue Raw is way behind SD). For the Raw Tag Team Championships, you've got three big names in the match, which should bring prestige to the belts, but I was never a fan of either team. That aside, I think Orton and Riddle have a chemistry that Styles and Omos don't, and that ironically plays a part in the match. I think you made the right call, and pivoting Styles back to singles competition is another good decision. However, I wonder how Omos will fair in this break-up.

◘ I was a little confused by the next segment. I liked the interaction between Adam Pearce and Sonya Deville, but it felt unintentionally ambiguous. I assume they are talking about Keith Lee following the assault from The Hurt Business, hence why MVP showed up? I think the reader could have benefitted from a recap of the attack to build tension as to whether he'd be cleared or not. Instead, I was left guessing as to who they were discussing. I liked Deville using it as an opportunity to put Pearce down - that very much adds to their big tag match later - but when MVP came in it gave me the impression that Pearce would be personally responsible for the outcome of the match (almost like a special guest referee). I feel like I saw where the segment was trying to go, but it could have been clearer.

◘ I have no problems with Shinsuke winning the IC title. Do I think that, as a former NXT Champion, he should be aiming for higher? Yes. But I know you've got a lot going on with the SD main event scene. Apollo has kind of gone MIA from the company since this, so I would like to see how you handle his character direction from here - is he too heading for tension with his bodyguard? Boogs played a part in the outcome, which is pretty interesting. I'm wondering if maybe he has his own agenda in helping Nakamura.

◘ A busy weekend for Ted DiBiase, and I absolutely loved this segment. I think this was a much truer reflection of his character than I gave him. I could just hear his laughter from that picture alone. Interesting to see Dolph Ziggler emerge as a threat (especially as it felt at times that the 24/7 Championship was Raw exclusive, despite the name). I actually thought he had Tozawa for a moment, until I realised he hadn't pinned him. I think these segments work as a nice palette cleanser between the in-ring action.

◘ It's so funny to see early Dominik Mysterio, and tagging with Rey no less. I said that I think SD had more depth to the tag team division, and I think keeping the belts on The Usos allows for better storytelling within the tag team division. Although they are father and son, I feel like Dom and Rey are both singles stars. I particularly enjoyed the isolation of Rey from the match, picking apart the much more inexperienced Dom. Much like with Raw, I'll be keeping a close eye on the tag team division's next steps.

◘ I said it before in the last review, but I enjoy the moment taking to pay homage to Nevada. I feel like it's something WWE do a lot at their PLEs, so this was a good way to add realism to the show. I also enjoyed the follow up with the ringside celebrity spotting. Again, small details that make a difference...although I'm thinking the wild Bad Bunny and Logan Paul appearances could be foreshadowing? Hmm...

◘ I forgot the next match was a 2/3 Falls Match (my bad for not putting it on the graphic) but I really love the heelishness of Charlotte in the first fall sequence. I also enjoyed the finishing spot by Rhea with the Riptide to cause the tie. I am really loving the pairing of Charlotte and Mandy Rose, and fully expected to see the latter show up at some point. I didn't know if we would see Dana or not, but love that you've used this storyline to further her character also, and give her some redemption. An interesting ending and I'm really happy to see Kay Lee Ray's previous tensions with Charlotte are being revisited. Have we seen a Nevada Screw Job? Maybe. I feel like you've got a lot of different avenues you can explore with this outcome.

◘ The added detail continues with the WWE 2K22 promo and The New Day were the perfect roster members to feature for it. A nice little way to hype up Big E's match. Although I do feel like we could benefit from a Team Pearce/Team Deville segment. There doesn't seem to be a lot of team unity leading into this match.

◘ So this makes more sense now with Adam Pearce being in the ring to deliver the news of Keith Lee's medical status. I could envision this segment with The Hurt Business counting alongside the referee, only for Lee's music to hit. I liked the selling of The Pounce, given Lashley's size, it really put Lee over (injury and all) as a legitimate threat to the belt. Despite this, the knee injury was sold throughout the match, which did add to the tension. I really enjoyed MVP's reactions and character moments too. The Shelton Benjamin exile did raise an eyebrow from me in the go-home show, especially in the closing segment, so I was interested to see him show up here. Part of me thought it may have all been a ruse to try and give the impression that The Hurt Business weren't on the same page, but given that it was used to get all outsiders excluded from ringside, it feels like Benjamin is very much at odds with THB. In the closing moments...well, I guess I didn't need to wait long to see what Omos would do next! Did he join THB in real life? I feel like it rings a bell? Or MVP managed him for a time. That might be why it feels like it makes sense, and it gives Omos a really big leap from where he was at the beginning of the show. Lee's loss is marred by dirty tactics, and he held his own throughout it all, so I feel like you did a good job of building him as a credible contender. Again, as a former NXT Champion, I always want to see their momentum continue after their call-up.

◘ Loved everything with Kross and Edge's promo, even the visual difference. Honestly, I had no idea which way this match would go. Kross is fresh out of NXT, and has been booked strong, but Edge is...Edge (well, technically 'Cope' as well, but the less said about that the better). That moment of Edge spearing Scarlett through the table. Wow. I feel like the limitation of intergender action in recent years really makes these moments feel big, especially with the set up being that Edge never intended to do it, and it was very much a sacrifice made by Scarlett for her husband. I think this really played into the psychology of both Superstars, with Edge showing instant remorse and Kross using it to his advantage. Hmmm...Beth Phoenix has not long left NXT commentary *strokes chin*. I'm thinking now Kross might go after the IC title, and that would be fine, but this was such a big win, it feels like it elevates him further than that. The hardship of playing off of the Bloodline in real life, is that Reigns very much had a stranglehold on the title and main event scene, so other heels would pale in comparison.

◘ Had we not just had a Sin City Street Fight, the United States title match would have made a good one with Priest and Sheamus. I feel like I felt every move these two hit. Priest is still pre-Judgement Day here, and still has loads to show but I think you made a right call on the result. We know he can connect with the fans and that he can main event, so I look forward to seeing how you build upon that, as well as making the US title feel like a true secondary title.

◘ R-Truth mixing Goldilocks and the Three Bears up with Little Red Riding Hood got a chuckle from me. Biggest pop of the night (so far) goes to The Godfather. I love that these WWE Legends don't want to wrestle for the belt, everyone is trying to haggle or trade goods. Kudos to Tozawa for not taking him up on the offer! I love that wink-wink, nudge-nudge aspect of it too. It shows the changing times of wrestling, without watering down the character too much. APA! Again, I love that you've included this talent, that just make sense with the theme and the setting. Tozawa is literally the cat with nine lives tonight!

◘ Really loved Stephanie doing the attendance announcement, as well as leading the introduction to the SD Women's title match - it really gave it that big match feel. Again, I wasn't really sure which way this match would go, but I really enjoyed reading it. It felt engaging, and I love the mentions of the crowd response and chanting. Bianca retaining really cements her position in the division, but that doesn't take away from Sasha's shine. It does make me wonder where you take Sasha without her needing to be in the title chase. Also interesting that Liv Morgan didn't make an appearance - which I honestly didn't mind...

◘ Well that's what happens when you write your feedback as you read!

◘ Appreciate the hype of the SSSU, and now it's time for the big tag team match. As mentioned previously, I would have liked a bit more tension with this. I feel like with everything going in with NXT and TNA in real life at the moment, there was a sense of chaos that could have been had throughout the show that would have made this feel bigger (not saying that the IRL stuff is perfect by any stretch). My question here is still around Ricochet after Rollins tried to get in his head previously. I also think, what is the benefit for those on the team that win? Pearce and Deville obviously have a lot to lose or gain, but are these guys getting a pay rise if they win, or?... There's a lot of moving parts, and dynamics at play in this match so I did appreciate how it was broken down into segments with updates after each elimination and reminders of the participant numbers. I talked about tag teams earlier, and I will say Ford did really shine in this match and it feels very much like he might not be part of it for much longer. I think having Ricochet part of the final sequence was clever, but I just wish there was more that was played upon with the potential swerve. Big E makes sense, it would've been awkward to have him lose, even if it was just an elimination. I think you needed to keep him strong. I absolutely loved heel Graves berating Pat for disrespecting Sonya as well! Another match with a lot of pathways to go. I still thought Ric O. might turn on Big E. at the last moment, but it seems for now, all is well within Team Pearce.

◘ I said about Priest needing to develop himself as the new US Champion, and I think this got off to a great start later with having him interviewed backstage - looks like Priest might have taken Godfather up on his offer.

◘ Love the brand exclusive pay per views! I don't feel like they gave them enough time to cook when they brought them back the last time.

◘ Good promo from Reigns, showing that regardless of who else holds a 'world title', he is THEE champion in WWE. Also like the fact that his personality goes beyond the face/heel divide. I said it before, but love the use of imagery and visuals peppered throughout the show, I think in the main event in particular it was really effective in threading the narrative along. I feel like I've spoken so much about having the challenge of making things different with Reigns and The Bloodline storyline, that I believed that Cena could have taken the win and ended it all there and then. We have had some interferences throughout the show in previous matches, but many of which had backfired in some form, and with The Bloodline, it's almost expected. However, I think you gave Cena and Reigns good time in wrestling each other before breaking it down, and even then it didn't feel overbooked or too chaotic. I also loved the celebration scene, with the pyro and the imagery. I think overall, this project is still pretty fresh so it makes sense to continue with Reigns at this time.

◘ Overall, I thought this was really well executed. I did have some (hopefully) constructive points, but on the whole I think this went above and beyond. The show was stacked but it didn't feel like a chore and the matches were written in a way that the big ones felt big, but the others didn't feel throwaway - if that makes sense? I also think that can be really difficult to achieve with two writers, two styles and two points of view, so well done to you both on writing something that felt cohesive. I know it's taken a while (that is the theme of the > Universe), but glad that you both got to your first PLE. I am excited to watch the fallout unfold!
