Putting Sid in the Legacy wing is stupid. I can understand wrestlers who had long passed away for many years and their family were distant from wrestling but I am sure that they could get in contact with his family. Sid has 2 sons. One of them was on Big Brother. The other is who broke the news about his Fathers passing. It's not like this is some random wrestler who was active before a lot of us were alive. It's Sid, who was active when many today were watching wrestling. They have put wrestlers in the regular HoF who had already passed away before. Many times. They can do it again if they wanted.

The Legacy part of the HOF was always either for putting people in that have been active a very, very long time ago or weren't big enough to get the full induction... kind of a minor wing. Sid getting into the minor wing, while Lia Maivia getting a full room (so to speak) is simply put not a great decision and fans have the right to be critical about it.

Dude, Randy Savage and Vader were both inducted into the regular wing after they died. Mr Perfect too. Hell even Gorgeous George.

I see the legacy wing as for wrestlers who wrestled before the mainstream era of WWE (before 1984 and the Hulk Hogan era) who they want to acknowledge. But using Gorgeous George as an example that dude was around in the 40s and still got a main induction lol

Sid was a main eventer in the 90s. Hes a multi time world champion with the titles that WWE acknowledges (WWE Championship and WCW World Championship) and even main evented Wrestlemania. There is zero argument for not inducting him into the main class. Vader’s son gave a speech for him so I’m sure Sid’s sons could do the same.

The legacy wing was introduced in 2016. They've done legacy classes in 2016, 2017, 2018, 2020, 2021, 2025, and now 2026.

It's been used for people who are deceased.

I hate to keep this going with you since we talked it out last night. But I got to point it out.

2016: Big Boss Man.
2017: Rick Rude
2020/2021: British Bulldog

3(or 4 since 2021 was 2020 class so depends how you wanna count it) of the years Legacy wing happened where decreased wrestlers weren't in the Legacy part.

Plus the two I mentioned from 2022 and 2024.

That's 5 examples total of times where that wasn't the case.

But I'll be fair here and say, I did see where they still might be a speech from his someone in his family (I'd assume his son). So I will give them the benefit of the doubt and wait from this moment forward to see if they do. I understand you might not want to see that, and its totally fine, that's your right, and I do respect that. But at the same time, you got to understand some people would be happy for that, especially his family and they matter more than any of us.
