Quarterback Michael Proctor has passed away at 58 years old. He had a legendary career at Murray State where he broke several school records and was the starter for four years. He went undrafted in the NFL, but played for the Patriots and Browns on their practice squads. He also played for the Saskatchewan Roughriders and two stints with the Montreal Machine.

Former basketball player Gary Silc has passed away at 85 years old. Silc was drafted in the eighth round of the 1963 NBA draft by the Pistons. He also played in the Eastern Professional Basketball League for the Wilmington Blue Bombers and the Allentown Jets.

After Silc's playing career was over, he went to Marquette Law School and earned Juris Doctor's degree.
