So... it seems maybe Gail Kim is crashing out about AEW, because she couldn't get a job there.

The only problem with that theory though is, she didn’t start out by trashing AEW at all. Her original tweet that started all this controversy was when she shared a clip from GCW where she said death match wrestling isn’t legitimate wrestling. The owner of GCW then clapped back at her which got a whole bunch of their fans in her mentions asking her about why she feels the need to say stuff that Jim Cornette would say, and then it was the same fans that specifically asked her to comment on his Riho comments and she gave her opinion on Riho based on a match she’d seen a couple years ago. And then because Dave Meltzer decided to get involved because of the way Riho used to be bullied back in the day it spiraled from there including Kenny Omega replying to her, but Gail didn’t voluntarily decide to talk about Riho or AEW. It was fans who couldn’t handle the fact that she didn’t like death match wrestling who decided to pester her about her opinion about it because she shared an opinion with Jim Cornette on death match wrestling being trash.

She’s obviously crashing out now, but I don’t think there’s any indication that a job at AEW is the cause of any of it. Her furthering down the rabbit hole is continued due to the consistent back and forth she’s getting online including mentioning JD who again the fans are the ones that brought him up to her. She should honestly just get off-line.

I’ll be honest, I watched that clip that Gail shared in the original first tweet of people falling off the balcony through plate glasses or whatever it was thinking to myself who could possibly enjoy this where’s the art? Now, of course I don’t think that my personal taste means that GCW shouldn’t exist or whatever. But if someone ask me my subjective opinion on it, I would say I think it is dumb. Sorry.

Which is kind of funny because I do sometimes like a good hard-core match but there’s some line to it and I couldn’t describe to you what it is, but I can find it when I see it’s been crossed.

To be honest, it might just be glass. I’ve never liked a glass spot in wrestling.

She was responding in that post that you screenshot there to someone that mentioned Jim Cornette. I believe that was the owner of GCW, but it was not even the first reference in the conversation.

Even still all she said to Brett was that she liked Jim Cornette, it was a fan that disagreed with her that asked her her opinion of Riho in your other screen, she didn’t voluntarily decide to talk about Riho.

This is what she was responding to. She did not mention him out of the blue nor Riho. Both times responding to criticism that evoked their names.

I will say, I don't really buy the scorned lover, tried to get a job at AEW thing. I think she (just like most influencers / wrestlers / celebs) have the any press is good press itch and is reeling off the amount of impressions she's been getting. I mean she can't stop tweeting yet says this, literally admitting she's farming engagement for an interview.

They’re pro wrestlers. Selling is what they do.

I believe she already had an interview booked, but even if she didn’t I think she’s right that at this point it would make more sense to save it for an interview and get offline.

This was my only point is I don’t think whether or not she got a job or wanted a job had anything to do with any of this but at the end of the day I do think she’s focusing too much on this and should just leave it now. Save it for a future interview like she said and stop tweeting.
