Sounds weird to say but they shouldn't look at the ratings period for NXT and just focus on developing the talent they see future spots on the main roster for.

I think they know they’re core. Obviously Breaker and Hayes. Seems like they love Grayson Waller and Von Wagner; even though I personally see nothing in either.

But then there’s guys like Odyssey Jones, LA Knight and Cameron Grimes where you’re just waiting for them to get their head outta their ass.

Despite all that, ratings are still gonna matter. Gotta re-up in a couple years. Would seem like a step backwards if NXT had to go back to the network

To me it's a franchise owner sweeping his management team because they are in a slump and have been for awhile.

He did it already with his main roster shows and WWE corporate offices....it's like people forget that.

The first thing that I thought of yesterday when I saw this news was "Regal to AEW confirmed to yell BLOOD AND GUTS".

To me it made no sense to even take Regal off of TV. NXT 2.0 needs an authority figure to "book the matches". Mandy making matches or Grayson Waller making matches makes no sense, but that's where they are at because they didn't want to use a few seconds of the shows to have Regal stand in front of an office desk while he talks. Like, to me they had something when Regal was the GM and Samoa Joe was the enforcer. They didn't even have to change that in NXT 2.0. Even if they didn't want to use Joe because of his age and health, Von Wagner being in the spot would make sense and they clearly like him. So they could have done more with Regal on TV at least.

Burch and Thatcher getting released is of no surprise. I did like Thatcher. Felt like they had him talk too much but I liked him.

I wonder if others that work backstage in NXT are worried for their jobs. Like Jeremy Borash. I also would like to see Triple Hs reaction to some of these releases that have happened.
